Simplicity is the ultimate form of sophistication.
-Leonardo Da Vinci

Today I come to you with a more simple baby. As much as I love making my sculpted more elaborate babies, I have a special place in my heart for the more simple babies like the one I am showing you today. Even though I have made a couple of these for custom orders, I haven’t made a baby for sale like this one for a while now. I hope you like her as much as I do.
Victoria is a sweet girl that enjoys simple pleasures like splashing her feet in water and making mud pies. She loves the sound of waves and rain. Her big blue eyes are full of wonder and love. Some of Victoria’s favorite things are mangos, flowers, dolls, finger play, and rhymes. Victoria is always looking forward to play and cuddles, and she is always in a good mood. She’s really the sweetest baby girl. She likes to talk though, well, babble a lot. She makes the cutest expressions when she babbles.nI feel she will be talking in no time. She can also sit pretty well and is already trying to pull herself up. Let’s say the fun part will begin real soon. haha!

Victoria is a 17 inch Waldorf inspired art baby doll. She was made slowly and thoughtfully putting attention to details. Her skin is heavy weight Laib Yala in dark brown color, her limbs are firmly filled with clean wool. Her torso is weighted with glass beads and has some needle felting as well. Her head is pretty floppy, just like a real newborn baby. Her arms and legs have been hand sewn to her torso three times to make it extra strong. They are very floppy as well and bend at the elbow, thighs, and knees. Her head was made in the traditional Waldorf style with some needle felting to make it firmer. Her blue eyes have been embroidered with cotton DMC thread. Victoria’s hair is a red brown big loop mohair crocheted wig cap with some loop stitches, that has been sewn to her head.
Victoria is not a toy. She’s an art doll intended for gentle play by an adult collector or an older child 8 and up. She likes to be cuddled and held but just like you would be gentle with a newborn baby, you need to be gentle with her. She feels great to hold too.
