Some people are born for Halloween and others are just counting the days for Christmas.
-Stephen Graham Jones

Hello everyone,
How is Halloween preparations going? In this house is getting real busy because not only do we need to prepare for Halloween but also for Día de Muertos and next week the kids have tests all week. This weekend will be super busy. Wish me luck.
You might have noticed I took a long time to post after Amaranta was ready for a home. Well, I was working on this Halloween/Christmas baby or who I like to call the perfect Halloween to Christmas transition baby. This is Jax, and he is a distant relative of the Skellington family. If you know, you know. Jax has been a very labor extensive baby. He took me a little over 50 hours from beginning to end, not counting, photos, videos, social media, making his listing, and writing this post. I have always thought that with time, it would take me less time to make the dolls, but I have found the contrary to be true. I now want to make them better, I focus more on details, and try new things. This takes me a lot of time but it is always worth it in the end.
This is the third Jack inspired doll I have made and if you have followed me long enough, you know I always try to make something new and different about them. This time I worked on a new expression, deeper, bigger eyes, which was not easy let me say, and I modified the body design, to make it even more floppy, more skeleton like, according to me. haha! This time the baby has two sets of clothes. His regular Halloween land clothes, and his Christmas outfit. Even though Skellington’s have learned their lesson and they don’t mess up with Christmas anymore, they still celebrate it, especially the little ones like Jax.

Jax is a 10 inch natural fibers baby doll. It’s skin is Organic Cotton Interlock in its natural color. His limbs and torso are filled with clean wool. His head is floppy. His legs and arms are very floppy due to a new design in which they are attached by knotted strong strings. His head is firmly needle felted, soft sculpted, hand painted with fabric paint, and hand embroidered with cotton embroidery floss. His body is also hand painted with fabric paint. Jax is also fully soft sculpted.
This baby is not a toy. This is an art doll intended for gentle play by an adult collector or an older child 7 and up. Jax likes to play and cuddle and even though he was made as sturdy as possible, you need to be gentle with him like you would be with a real baby.
Spot clean only.

Jax will go home with the clothes you see him in. All handmade by me.
