Appearances are often deceiving
-Aesop

I am so proud to introduce you to Damián. I know some people might think he is evil, but I assure you he is not. He is just a baby and he will be as good or bad as you raise him to be. Up until now he has shown how sweet, loving, kind, and playful he is. He always has a smile for you and is always ready to play and prank you. He also seems to love all creepy, misunderstood things. It’s like he sees beauty on things most people are scared of.
Some of Damian’s favorite things are snakes, scorpions, and skeletons. He loves scary stories, melancholic songs, tight hugs, jokes, and candy. He loves candy and I can’t even hide it from him. He always finds it. Maybe that is why he is so energetic and then falls asleep very sudden. When he is sleeping is the only time I can take photos of him, when he is awake, his photos are a blur. haha!

Damián is inspired in Mexican artisanal devils. You can find them in fairs and artisan shops, some are made out of clay, wood, or even cardboard. They are usually a little creepy but also fun, and joyful. It’s like they show the fun, mischievous part of life. They are usually decorated with paint on their bodies and usually have beards and even mustaches. Of course, this one is still too young for facial hair. hehe!

Damian is an 8 inch creepy cute baby doll inspired in artisanal Mexican devils. Damian’s skin is Organic Cotton Interlock hand dyed to a red color. Limbs and torso are firmly filled with clean wool. Head is floppy. Legs and arms are floppy on the shoulders and thighs. Arms are sewn directly to the torso three times for extra strength. Legs and torso are one piece. The head is firmly needle felted, soft sculpted on the mouth and eyes. This doll is fully soft sculpted. He has embroidery in different parts of the body and face and has a pair of cotton horns that have been hand sewn to his head. There are two pieces of blue wool felt, one on his belly and one on his forehead. Ears are hand sewn to the head as well.

Damián will go home wearing the clothes and accessories you see in his photos, all handmade by me:
handmade wool mix skeleton pajamas.
handmade wool felt sugar skull mask
handmade wool felt and cotton halloween sugar skull bag
handmade linen tiny skeleton doll
