So this is baby Sylvia. A smaller yet equally adorable weighted art doll. I have been trying different sizes with my new design, mainly to have different prices and give a chance to different kinds of budgets. Sylvia was supposed to be a 10 to 11 inch baby doll and she ended up being about 12.5 inches long. I have to just come to terms with this design giving me slightly bigger babies than what I have in mind. It is a sweet surprise but it also takes more wool than I intend especially because of all the felting involved. Nevertheless, it is all worth it and I just love my little Sylvia to pieces.

Sylvia is a sweet sleepy baby. She’s small, so that might be the reason she sleeps so much. She’s always dreaming on big things like going to the moon, and riding on deers, sliding on rainbows, and bouncing on clouds. How do I know these things? Well, real life babies can’t really speak to you when they are this little, but Chulonas on the other hand, will speak to you whenever they want. Sometimes they will speak to you in your dreams, other times you just look at them and you’ll know, and sometimes, like in Sylvia’s case, they will straight talk to you, though Sylvia speaks while she is sleeping. Which is just the cutest thing. I must say Sylvia is very special, she actually loves the dark. I think it is because she can see the stars better. This baby loves magic, sweet bread, stories about unicorns and fairies, and she absolutely adores the rain. It helps her sleeps, which is her favorite thing of all. Sylvia is a good sleeper, so she won’t be waking you up at night, well, except for her talking, but she’s not real loud or anything.

Sylvia is a tad over 12 inches natural fibers art baby doll. She’s fully soft sculpted and anatomically correct. Her skin is DWE in light brown, her limbs are fully lined and firmly filled with clean wool and glass beads. Her torso is needle felted in two parts and weighted with glass beads. Her head is floppy but has some stability. You can prop her more easily to keep her head up. Her arms and legs have been hand sewn to her torso three times to make it extra strong. They are very floppy as well and bend at the elbow, thighs, ankles, and knees. Her head is firmly needle felted and soft sculpted in the mouth and nose. Sylvia’s hair is a hand crocheted brushable mohair cap in brunette color, it has been hand sewn to her head. This hair can be gently brushed. Her blushing has been made with chalk pastels.

Sylvia is not a toy. She’s an art doll intended for gentle play by an adult collector or an older child 10 and up. She loves to be cuddled and held but just like you would be gentle with a real baby, you need to be gentle with her. She’s easy and fun to pose and feels great to hold too.

Sylvia will go home with the clothes and accessories you see in her photos.

Sylvia’s adoption fee is 610 USDollars plus shipping. Shipping inside Mexico is free. Shipping outside Mexico needs to be by a private courier and fully insured because she is a weighted doll. Shipping to the US is 60 USDollars. Other parts of the world would need a revised shipping quote. Shipping prices have gone up a little this year. Customs fees and taxes are the responsibility of the buyer.

A short, 2 month payment plan is available to purchase her. However at least 1/3 of the doll’s price needs to be paid upfront, from which 50 Dollars will be taken as a non refundable deposit. Please ask for the payment plan rules if you don’t know them yet.

I will take entries for Sylvia until Tuesday February 22, 2022, at 4pm CDT. If more than one person is interested I will draw a name. Once a family has been chosen I will send a PayPal invoice that is due upon receipt.
