Where there is love there is life.

The day has finally come to let this sweet little girl go. I have taken my sweet time to take her photos and put her for adoption. I’m just not sure how I will let her go. Let me introduce you all to, Lorena, one of the most beautiful dolls I have ever made. I still can’t believe I made her and I’m not sure if I’ll ever be able to recreate a face like hers. Maybe that is why I kept pushing back her adoption.
I have been trying to make more realistic needle felted faces but still keep them looking like Chulonas. So you know, more realistic, but not hyper-realistic. I also try to change the expressions on my dolls because I really don’t want them all to look the same. I mean, it’s good to have a style and have people recognize you for it. However, I think having a style doesn’t necessarily mean that you have to make the same features over and over. Well, that is just my opinion and the way I like to make my dolls. I want them each to be as unique as possible.
Now back to Lorena. This baby is full of love. She was born in the month of love, so go figure. Lorena can be a little shy in the beginning and you might think she doesn’t like you at first, but she’s really just getting to know you before giving you all the love you need. I don’t know how, but she knows when people need hugs, and kisses, and cuddles. Is like there is a little therapist in her that just wants to make everything better, with love.
Lorena loves hearts, the colors red and pink, chocolate, especially heart shaped ones, baby dolls, hugs, cuddles, and kisses. As long as you show her love, she’s a really easy to take care of baby. She’s pretty quiet and attentive and will love to do things with you. So please don’t be afraid to include her in your activities, she actually loves it.

Lorena is a 15 inch natural fibers art baby doll. She’s fully soft sculpted and anatomically correct. Her skin is Waldorfia hago jersey in brown, her limbs are fully lined and firmly filled with clean wool and glass beads. Her torso is needle felted in two parts and weighted with glass beads. Her head is floppy but has some stability. You can prop her more easily to keep her head up. Her arms and legs have been hand sewn to her torso three times to make it extra strong. They are very floppy as well and bend at the elbow, thighs, ankles, and knees. Her head is firmly needle felted and soft sculpted in the mouth and nose. Lorena’s hair is a hand crocheted big loop black mohair cap with added strands that has been hand sewn to her head. This hair cannot be brushed. Her blushing has been made with chalk pastels.
Lorena is not a toy. She’s an art doll intended for gentle play by an adult collector or an older child 10 and up. She loves to be cuddled and held but just like you would be gentle with a real baby, you need to be gentle with her. She’s easy and fun to pose and feels great to hold too.

Lorena’s adoption fee is 925 USDollars plus shipping. Shipping inside Mexico is free. Shipping outside Mexico needs to be by a private courier and fully insured because she is a weighted doll. Shipping to the US is 60 USDollars. Other parts of the world would need a revised shipping quote. Shipping prices have gone up a little this year. Customs fees and taxes are the responsibility of the buyer.
A short, 3 month payment plan is available to purchase her. However at least 1/4 of the doll’s price needs to be paid upfront, from which 50 Dollars will be taken as a non refundable deposit. Please ask for the payment plan rules if you don’t know them yet.
If you wish to adopt this loving girl just comment below stating that you would like to adopt her, your country of residence, if you need a payment plan, and remember that the email you write should be your PayPal email address. Comments will not be visible to the public, only to me. If you are unsure if your comment went through, just send me a private message and I’ll confirm it to you.
Please only comment if you are completely sure you want this doll and are able to pay for her either in full or following the rules of the payment plan.

No video of her this time but there are a few on my Instagram page. You can check it out here.

I will take entries for Lorena until Monday February 14, 2022, Valentine’s Day at 6pm CDT. If more than one person is interested I will draw a name. Once a family has been chosen I will send a PayPal invoice that is due upon receipt.
As always by commenting you agree you are 18 years or older and please do not comment for someone else, that is just not fair for others.
