Hi everyone. Hope your day is going better than mine.. I was hoping to finish three baby dolls this week but my sewing machine had other plans. While I was changing the needle on my machine, the needle clamp broke in two. I didn’t know I was so strong. I mean the thing is solid metal, pretty thick too. Now the machine is at the mechanic and hopefully they’ll have it ready by the end of the week. Well, story short, I couldn’t sew anything today so I decided to take photos of the only baby I have ready for adoption, Nelson.

Let me tell you some of Nelson’s favorite things. He likes the color blue, like the sky he says. Bears are his favorite animal, as you can probably already guess by his outfit. He loves to munch on blueberries but he gets quite messy so have the baby wipes ready when you feed him. Balls are his favorite toy, especially if they are blue. The problem is sometimes he likes the ball so much he won’t throw it back. He even tries to hide it to keep it for himself. Oh boy!
Baby Nelson is quite an explorer. He loves to take walks and look at the trees. He wants to go on a bear hunt. He actually thinks that’s what we are doing every day when we go walking. He never gets disappointed we don’t find any bears though. He enjoys the walks and is optimistic about finding a bear every single time we go out. You gotta love his enthusiasm.

Nelson is a 16 inch baby boy. He was the first one to be ready and ended up being a little slimmer than the other ones. I guess that happens when you are born before your due date. We can say he is a real preemie. He surprised us with his cuteness and his sweet little face.
Nelson’s skin is Laib Yala Heavy Weight in Dark Peach. His green eyes have been hand embroidered and his hair is a hand crocheted small loop mohair wig cap in red brown. He has some permanent hand drawn freckles on his face and his blushing is made with an orange/red beeswax crayon (not permanent). His belly is mostly filled with glass beads for weight and some wool for sculpting the belly button and buttocks. Nelson weights 900 grams or 1.98 pounds.

Nelson is hoping to find a home where he can explore, eat blueberries, play with balls all day and have lots of teddy bears.
Nelson is not meant to be a toy. Even though he is made pretty sturdy, the weight and accessories do not make him suitable for children. He is for gentle playing by an adult collector or an older child, 7 and up. This is a natural fibers dolls, filled with clean wool. His head has been made in the traditional Waldorf style with some needle felting to make it firmer. His clothes are made with cotton fabrics and the hat with wool yarn. Nelson is pretty floppy and very fun to pose.
Nelson will go home with the following clothes and accessories:
- Handmade long sleeve envelope shirt. (Made with a pattern by Hey Barrie
- Handmade diaper with snap closures.
- Handmade overalls. (Pattern by HeyBarrie)
- Hand crocheted hat with pompom
- Handmade bear boots (pattern for the boot by Fig and Me)
- A little traveling friend (Not in the photos, it is a teddy bear though)
If you would like to see more photos of Nelson you can check his album.

Nelson’s adoption fee is 370 USDollars plus shipping. Shipping inside Mexico is free; to the US, PR, and Canada is 45 USDollars, and for the rest of the world is 70 USDollars via Mexpost (Mexican Priority shipping). Correos de Mexico will not allow me to ship a doll this size through regular mail to an international address.
If you would like to give a home to this handsome boy make sure you comment on this post stating so. If there is more than one person interested in him, I will draw a name. I will take entries for Nelson until tomorrow Wednesday February 10, 2021 at 4pm CDT.
Once a family has been chosen I will send a PayPal invoice that is due upon receipt. If you need a payment plan, please let me know in advance, as there are rules for these.
Nelson has found a loving home. Thank you very much for all your love!

Thank you for taking the time to read about this sweet boy. I hope you love him very much.
I will now try to keep busy by doing some hand sewing and crochet hats. Maybe finish cutting all the fabric for next babies’ clothes. Wish me luck!
Read you soon.
Hugs,
Aubrey
