To be creative, lose the fear of being wrong
The end of Fall is near and the beginning of Winter is approaching. Even though we live in the Caribbean, I must say we are getting a little bit of chill right now. It is raining almost every day and we are not sweating as much as usual. I like that is a little chilly and I can sleep a little better but I must say I’m so not used to it anymore. I feel like I need a coat, hahaha!
Now this is the perfect weather to make dolls. I have finally finished my latest pattern and is actually on sale until tomorrow. So make sure you grab your copy before the sale ends. Actually all my patterns are 30 % off right now. So why not grab more than one?

This pattern and tutorial will teach you to make a 13 inch floppy soft sculpted baby doll, a diaper, a footed sleeper, and a hat. This pattern is for a confident beginner. The pattern can also be easily resized to make dolls in other sizes.

This is the first pattern I made for a soft sculpted baby doll. It has evolved over the years, of course, but it keeps the essence of it. It is called the Baby Nina Pattern because Nina was the name my daughter gave to her doll, the first prototype for this pattern, almost 4 years ago. By the way, the little boy on the photo above is Leo and he’s still looking for a home in my shop.
Here is a little photo of what Nina looks like now. As you can see the pattern was a little different back then. My little V still plays with her all the time. She’s also been in the washing machine so many times in these past years and still hasn’t needed a repair.

If you would like to purchase this pattern go to my Etsy shop. You can download it instantly once payment goes through. If you make a doll with this pattern I would love to see it very much, so please take a photo and send it to me or tag me @lachulonadolls on Instagram or Facebook.
Now I also have a new doll to show you. My last Fall Dew Drop baby doll. Her name is Gaia. Gaia is a sweet 4.5 inches natural fibers baby doll. She’s filled with clean carded wool. Her head is made in the traditional Waldorf style, her cotton black eyes are embroidered and her blonde mohair hair is securely sewn to her head. Her body is a thick cotton fabric, the wool blend leaves have been hand sewn into her body and hat. Her hat is hand crocheted with cotton yarn. Gaia has a crocheted tiny dragonfly as a traveling friend. She comes inside her wool blend yellow leaf bed.

Now this is not the only Dew Drop Baby available. Hazel, is also looking for a home and has been for a couple of weeks now.
Hazel is a 4.5 inch natural fibers doll. She’s filled with clean carded wool. Her head is made in the traditional waldorf style and her cotton black eyes and her wool red hair have been hand embroidered.
