Christmas isn’t a season, is a feeling
-Edna Ferber

Have you met my boy Claus? Well, this is Claus and he cannot wait for Christmas. You may see him sleeping peacefully but there is a reason for that. You see, Claus has this idea that the more he sleeps, the faster Christmas will come. Which, in a way, is true. So he just wakes up, eats something, practices his Christmas songs and dance and goes back to sleep, hoping the next time he wakes up it will already be Christmas.
While making Claus I was thinking more of a Fall elf. You know, a baby elf with more autumn-ish colors. After making his sweet face I showed him the colors he was going to wear and he didn’t like them one bit. I went and got more burnt oranges, mustard, moss, all those earthy tones that I love so much, but he had other plans. This little boy just wanted something more “jolly” was his word. Long story short, he wanted Christmas pajamas because he’s already waiting for Santa and he doesn’t want Santa to see him in a non christmasy outfit of course. Of course he’s sleeping now but he says he won’t sleep on Christmas Eve because he needs to talk to Santa. We’ll see.

Claus is an 8 inch natural fibers elf baby doll full of love and Christmas joy. His skin is Laib Yala in dark peach color. His head is made in the traditional Waldorf style with some needle felting to make it extra firm. The head is then covered with the doll skin. Claus’ wool brown hair has been hand embroidered to his head. His eyes have been hand embroidered with cotton embroidery floss in black. His body is made from reused baby pajamas and is lightly filled with clean carded wool so he can be extra cuddly. His blushing is made with red orange beeswax. He was made with attention to detail and lots of love in a smoke free home.
Claus loves Christmas so much that when I asked him what kind of traveling friend he would like me to make him, he said a Christmas Tree. So, a Christmas tree he has. He named her Ivy, he says is a girl and I love that he chose a girl as a traveling companion.

Claus will go home wearing his crocheted booties and hat, swaddled in his cozy blanket and accompanied by his new friend Ivy.
Claus adoption fee is 90 USD plus shipping ( shipping in Mexico is free, 8 USDollars for USA and Canada and 13 USDollars for the rest of the world)
If you would like to take Claus home this Christmas make sure you comment on this post stating that you would like to adopt him. I will take entries for Claus until tomorrow November 2 at 5pm EST. As usual, once a family has been selected, I will send a PayPal invoice for the price of the doll and shipping. The invoice is due upon receipt.
If Claus doesn’t find a home in the time stated before I will list him in the shop and announce it on Facebook and Instagram.
Claus has found a loving home. Thank you so much!
If you would like to see more photos of Claus you can see them in his album.
