I’m here, really trying to finish all the babies I already started before December is here. I need to make dolls for my niece’s and daughter’s birthdays as well. So I will be offering these babies as soon as they are finished and I just finished one of the sweetest little boys ever. His name is Toby.

This bay boy knew his name right away and he whispered it to me before he was even finished. He also told me about his love for fishes. Especially whales. So of course I had to find him an outfit with a whale. Boy was I lucky I had a slightly used whale pajamas. I think my baby wore it two times top. He grew up way too fast. Nevertheless, it helped me with the whale outfit for Toby, so at least something good came out of it.

Of course Toby wants a home with a whale. I explained that may not be possible. Whales are way too big to keep in a tank. They need to be free in the ocean, where they can be happy. Well, he wasn’t too happy about that. After a long talk he settled for a home with at least a fish tank. I must say I’m not a fan of fish tanks either, so I suggested that maybe his new family can take him to visit a lake or the beach where fishes are happier than in a tank. He’s ok with it as long as he gets books about fishes and his mom plays “Baby Shark” every morning. We’ll see.

Toby is a posing doll. He’s so easy and fun to pose. He’s perfect for photographers that want to practice with their baby photography poses.

Toby is NOT a natural fibers art doll. He is not filled with wool and is not a Waldorf inspired doll. Toby is an 18 inch small newborn size soft sculpted ooak baby doll. His body is made out of organic cotton interlock fabric hand dyed to a light tan color. His body and head are lined on the inside. He’s fully soft sculpted and anatomically correct. Toby has hand embroidered sleeping eyes and hand painted freckles. His blushing is made with a red orange bees wax crayon and is not permanent. His arms are hand sewn to his body (they are floppy) and the legs are attached with safety plastic joints for better movement. His head is attached with super strong nylon thread and then secured with ladder stitch all around to make it more neat and aesthetically pleasing. The head is very floppy. You need to hold his head when you carry him, just like a real baby. Toby’s hair is a modacrilyc wig sewn to his head. You can gently brush his hair. This baby doll is stuffed with soft polyester stuffing. He is weighted with glass beads inside his torso, legs, arms, and head. Toby weights a little over 2.5 lbs. He fits loosely into most newborn clothes and some preemie clothes.

Toby is not a toy. He’s an art doll intended for gentle play by an adult collector or older child, 7 or older.

Toby’s adoption fee is 190 USD plus shipping. Shipping inside Mexico is free. Shipping to the US and Canada is 33 USD. Shipping to other parts of the world is 50 USD.
