I present to you baby Suma. She was born in the summer during some rainy days so that is why she is so well covered and cozy. She likes to sleep in the garden, I think the smell of grass and flowers helps her sleep better. She’s still very young so she spends most of the day sleeping and dreaming happy dreams. I think they are happy because every now and then I can hear her giggle.

Suma is a Waldorf inspired baby girl made with all natural materials. She is a toy that is suitable for little hands 3 and over. I wouldn’t recommend her for children that still take things to their mouth, mostly because of the embroidered details on her pajamas and the crocheted accessories. However, you know your child better than anyone and who am I to tell you what toy they can play with. Just make sure you never leave a small child unsupervised with a stuff toy.

Suma is a doll made very slowly and with attention to detail. I am very proud of this doll but she was certainly a lot of work. She’s a little over 11 inches tall and full of love.
Suma’s skin is made with DWE in a dark tan color. Her head is firmly filled with clean wool. Her features are carefully but firmly needle felted and then covered with the skin. Her eyes, mouth and Alpaca yarn hair are hand embroidered to make it more durable. Suma’s body is made with wool fabric and it simulates a sleeper that cannot be taken off. There is a hand embroidered detail of some orange flowers and leaves on it. Her body is lightly filled with clean wool to make her more snuggly.
Suma wears a removable hand crocheted hat and booties all made with 100% wool yarn. She will go home with a little traveling friend and wrapped in a blanket.
