“Whoever is happy will make others happy too”
-Anne Frank

Hello doll lovers!
How are things going? I hope well. I am aware that not everyone is happy these days. Lots of things happening with wars, the economy, and powerful monsters. Still, we need to not let it dim our light. I have been trying to cheer myself up a lot lately. It is hard to balance keeping informed and staying cheerful, but we need to find a way.
In an effort to find some joy Sawako was born. I must say I am not a big fan of clowns. I find them a little creepy, I’m not going to lie. I think movies have ruined them for me. haha! So as usual I try to turn what I consider scary into something that I find cute and beautiful. Sawako is the perfect example of a cute little jester clown. I was able to use left over yarns to make the hat and pompoms and her romper is made with an upcycled girls dress. I am so happy I was able to get matching colors without even needing to go the store. I love how not scary but quiet adorable she turned out in the end. I hope you think so too.

Things to know about Sawako if you want to adopt her. Sawako likes to play silly games and play jokes. She laughs every time you say ¨Boo¨ She is very kind and helpful but she also rather play all day. Unlike me, she is not scared of clowns, in fact she loves them. That is why I made her a creepy cute clown to keep her company. It is her new favorite thing and she takes him with her everywhere. Sawako’s favorite food is cake, especially birthday funfetti cake. She loves silly songs and silly books and she loves playing rough, it makes her belly laugh for hours.

Sawako is a 13 inch Waldorf baby girl doll. Her skin is De Witte Engle in a light brown color. Her black eyes have been hand embroidered with DMC threads. Her hair is a hand crocheted hand dyed pink wild brushable mohair wig cap that has been hand sewn to her head. It can be gently brushed and styled. Her blushing was made with an orange/red beeswax crayon and is not permanent. She is a natural fibers doll, filled with clean wool. Her head has been made in the traditional Waldorf style. She is articulated on her shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees, and ankles for better posing. Her head is wobbly like a real baby. This baby doll is pretty floppy and very fun to pose. This baby is not weighted.
Hand wash only.

Sawako will go home with the clothes you see in her photos. All handmade by me.

This doll is intended for children 5 and up that do not mouth their toys or for collectors. The clothes include buttons and snaps that can turn into choking hazards. So be aware of that if you are buying it for a child.

Sawako has a little stitch on her shoulder from a little accident that I’m not sure how it happened. I decided to leave it there and just stitch it to make sure it is secured. I see it as birthmark and one thing that makes her even more unique.
