I feel like I must tell you that I am not a religious person. However, I love stories, especially magical ones. So of course, I love the story of baby Jesus. I also like to celebrate every single holiday and expose my children to all the magic involved in them. You probably already can tell that the spark that fuels my art is the magic that I see, feel, and create all around me.

Now let’s talk about this sweet boy that was left on my door step. He’s a mostly well behaved baby, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t like to play. He actually plays a lot, is super curious, and is only calm when he sleeps. Is like he wants to know everything and everyone. He’s actually very charismatic, everyone loves him, even animals. I was scared he was going to get attacked by my cat but no, I think my cat loves this baby more than he loves my kids, ha! Why are all Jesús’ photos with his eyes closed? you might ask. Well, I have to wait for him to fall asleep in order to take his pictures. I have tried taking them when he’s awake and they all come out blurry.

As much as I love this baby boy, a lot of weird things happen when he’s around. You may think I’m crazy but I could swear I saw him crawling over the water in the kiddie pool. Also I am sure I had only 2 pieces of bread left in the pantry, but when I went to get them to divide them between the five of us, there were actually five pieces of bread. Maybe I am going crazy, who knows. I know these things are not bad things but they still freak me out a little. So I think he would be better off living with someone else that is more understanding of his special gifts.

Baby Jesús is an almost 8 inch natural fibers baby boy doll. His skin is DWE in red brown color, his limbs and torso are firmly filled with clean wool. His head is wobbly not really floppy. His legs and arms are floppy on the shoulders and thighs. Arms are sewn directly to the torso three times for extra strength. Legs and torso are one piece. His face is firmly needle felted, soft sculpted, and hand embroidered with cotton embroidery floss. Jesús’ hair is a black wild brushable mohair wig cap sewn to his head. You can gently brush his hair. His halo was hand crocheted with gold color thread. He’s fully soft sculpted. His blushing was made with a red beeswax crayon and it is not permanent. You will get a little piece of cloth with some blush so you can retouch it if necessary.

Jesús is not a toy. He’s an art doll intended for gentle play by an adult collector or an older child 10 and up. He likes to play and cuddle and even though he is made as sturdy as possible, is better is he’s treated gently, like a real baby.

Jesús will go home with only his diaper (there is a little video in my IG account explaining how to put it on) and his wool lamb, halo, and crocheted cocoon made with big loop mohair yarn.

Jesús’ adoption fee is 250 USDollars plus shipping. Shipping inside Mexico is free, 30 USDollars to the US, Canada, and Puerto Rico via priority shipping. Other countries will need a revised quote.
