Francisca, a sweet little monster

I’m not a monster. Just a little different.

So, I’m still late on Christmas dolls. haha! I decided to make another little monster. I had a tiny bit more fabric so why not make another creepy cutie? This time a little girl because cute little monsters come in all genders, colors, and sizes.

What is different about Francisca? Well, I made her neck and joints a little bit longer so she is a tad more flexible than Herman was. She also has some tiny eyelashes. I was trying to make her look more girlish. I made her two tiny braids but these can be taken off and you can gently brush and style her hair however you’d like.

Francisca like the previous baby monster, sleeps a lot, she also needs electricity to charge and come to life. Since the crazy doctor brought Herman to life, he keeps trying the same with other babies. He has failed many times, but every now and then he succeeds. So was the case of Francisca. This little baby was brought to life after a couple of days after her death and I feel the process has caused some trauma on her because even when she is fully charged, she still sleeps a lot.

Just like the previous baby, Francisca’s original parents couldn’t handle taking her back, so here I am again trying to find her a loving home.

Baby Francisca is an 8 inch natural fibers baby girl doll. Her skin is organic cotton interlock hand dyed to a grayish green color, her limbs and torso are firmly filled with clean wool. Her head is wobbly not completely floppy. Her legs and arms are floppy on the shoulders and thighs. Arms are sewn directly to the torso three times for extra strength. Legs and torso are one piece. Her face is firmly needle felted, soft sculpted, and hand embroidered with cotton embroidery floss. Francisca’s hair is a black wild brushable mohair wig cap sewn to her head. Her head screws are made with gray wool felt and hand sewn to her head. She’s fully soft sculpted with some special details to resemble Frankenstein’s monster but in a much cuter version. Her blushing was made with an orange/red beeswax crayon and it is not permanent. You will get a little piece of cloth with some blush so you can retouch it if necessary.

Francisca is not a toy. She’s an art doll intended for gentle play by an adult collector or an older child 10 and up. She likes to play and cuddle and even though she is made as sturdy as possible, you need to be gentle with her like you would be with a real baby.

Hand wash only.

Francisca will go home with only her diaper and her voodoo doll lovie. I will be making her a blanket to wrap her so she doesn’t get cold while traveling.

If you would like to see more photos of Francisca you can see them in her album.
