Won’t you ride my sleigh tonight?

Christa is a very special and joyful baby girl. She loves Christmas and is convinced she can help Santa deliver the gifts. I asked if she wanted to be one of Santa’s elves. She responded she wanted to be a reindeer. Oh lord! That maybe a little difficult, I said. And of course as it often turns out with children, she reminded me of that time I told her that girls could be whatever they want. I was thinking more of a profession of course but she actually wants a job as one of Santa’s reindeers.
You might think she doesn’t know anything about being Santa’s reindeer, but she does. She’s actually aware of how healthy and strong she needs to be to pull the sleigh. She knows the names of each of Santa’s reindeers and their favorite songs. She says she will sing it to them to surprise them and win them over. Oh, the things little ones come up with.

Christa enjoys the warm feeling of Christmas and the colder weather were she can wear warmer cozy clothes. She loves boots, and hats, hot chocolate and Christmas lights. She’s happy it has been chilly these days because she gets to snuggle up with her baby doll inside her sleeping sack. If you haven’t noticed, Christa’s favorite animals are reindeers so imagine the excitement when she saw the bonnet I made her. She then made me add antlers to her baby’s hat too, hahaha! I was actually happy to do so.

Christa is an 11 inch natural fibers baby doll. She’s filled with clean wool. Her head is made in the traditional Waldorf style and then needle felted to make it firm. Her skin is DWE in Dark brown color. She has a cute little tushie and a belly button. Christa’s black messy hair is made with mohair fabric and is sewn twice to her head. Her eyes are hand embroidered with cotton embroidery floss in black. Her blushing is made with a red beeswax crayon.
Christa can be a toy for children 5 and up that do not mouth their toys anymore. Never leave a small child with a stuffed toy.

Christa will go home with the the clothes and accessories shown in the photos, which includes:
- A handmade dress with snap button closure (choking hazard for a small child)
- A handmade diaper
- A handmade pair of tights
- Handmade red bloomers
- Hand crocheted reindeer hat
- Hand crocheted booties
- Striped pajamas made from baby pajamas
- Pink and brown hat made from a baby hat
- Green and red cocoon
- Swaddled baby doll
