Every time a baby laughs a fairy is born

I hope you are all ready to meet this new baby. Her name is Rocío, which means dew in Spanish. As it happens, that she was born from the morning dew and one of the leaves on a tree. There is no coincidence that we found her the day after my baby giggled for the first time. As you all know “when a new baby laughs for the first time, a new fairy is born” -J.M. Barrie

Rocío is a tiny baby fairy. She still sleeps most of the day and she prefers to do so on leaves, maybe it has to do with a leaf giving her life. You can usually find her sleeping on the top leaves of a tree, the higher the better. She’s still learning to fly, so sometimes she needs help moving around and getting to the top of the tree.

Rocío is a 6.5 inch natural fibers art doll. Her skin is DWE in a fair color. Her face is made in the traditional Waldorf doll style with some needle felting to make it firm, then covered with doll skin fabric. Her arms, legs and body are filled with clean wool and partly soft sculpted. She has a floppy neck like a baby. Her wings are made from organza and they are not detachable. Her hair is a hand crocheted loop mohair wig sewn to her head. Her sleeping eyes are embroidered with 100% cotton thread in black.

• hand crocheted leaf blanket
• handmade wool blend felt hand dyed leaf crib with beads on the stem as a mobile. The stem needs to be proped properly to make it stand.
• Rocío will have a tiny traveling friend with her. Not in the photos.

Rocío’s adopting fee is 170 USDollars plus shipping. Shipping inside of Mexico is free. Shipping to other parts of the world is 13 USDollars.
