Gabriel and Angélica are ready for Christmas!

We should all try to hold on to the Christmas spirit, not just one day a year but all 365.

-Mary Martin

It’s only 92 days until Christmas! Yay!!! Not that I’m counting. I’ve always loved Christmas. For me it is all about the magic. I have so many wonderful memories with family, delicious smells, heart warming music, Christmas movies, and the best food of the year. Now that I have children, Christmas is even more amazing because I get to be one of the people that create the magic. Just watching my kids’ faces when we put up the tree or make cookies. They want to ready all the Christmas books and watch all the movies. We do many activities during the holidays. I want to make sure my kids are not only attracted to Christmas because of the presents but that they associated with family and magic.

Now to celebrate that we are only a short 3 months until Christmas I present you two babies that can’t wait for to spend the holidays with a new family.

Please meet Angélica and Gabriel. My new two Christmas babies.

Let’s start talking about Angélica. She was the first one to be born. However, she was a late delivery because the wool I have ordered to make her was a little late in the mail. So I went ahead and started making her clothes. I had this idea of a dress that would look kind of like a present with a bow. So I went with it. I loved how it turned out but I had no doll to make sure it fit, so let me say it was a little nerve wreaking. Once the wool got here I hurried to make the torso just to make sure this dress would fit her, and it did, phew! I also went ahead and made some cute T-strap shoes from a pattern by Fabiola (Figandme). I am going to say that even though they are not perfect and hers look much better than mine, I still think they are super cute and pretty good to be my first time. Don’t you think?

Angélica is a pretty easy going child. She doesn’t cry much and is always in the look out for something exciting to happen. I mean she’s a baby, just watching the sealing fan turn on is something exciting for her, haha! So be prepared to look at her eyes full of wonder 24/7. Angelica loves birds and flowers, especially poinsettias. She hopes to move to a house where they have poinsettias this Christmas. Her favorite color is red and her favorite food is anything with cinnamon.

Angélica is a 14 inch baby girl. Her skin is DWE in Red Brown. Her greenish brown eyes have been hand embroidered and her hair is a hand crocheted wild brushable mohair wig cap in brunnete. Her blushing was made with a red beeswax crayon and is not permanent. She is a natural fibers doll, filled with clean wool. Her head has been made in the traditional Waldorf style with some needle felting to make it firmer. Her clothes have been made with cotton fabrics, her shoes with faux leather, and the hat with wool blend yarn. This baby doll is pretty floppy and very fun to pose.

Angélica will go home with the following clothes and accessories:

  • Handmade cotton dress
  • Handmade diaper with snap closures.
  • Handmade diaper cover
  • Handmade faux leather shoes (pattern by Fig and Me)
  • Handmade hair bow with clip
  • Handmade footed sleeper (Pattern by Wild Marigold) though I added the butt flap
  • Hand crocheted elf hat (Pattern by Posh Patterns)
  • Traveling friend elf lovie

Next we have Gabriel. Gabriel is a little flirt. He knows he’s cute and he likes to take advantage of that in the form of please hold me all day. He literally wants to be in contact with a human all the time. If you are sitting next to him, he will scootch in with you so he can feel you. This even happens during breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Let me say is a little uncomfortable to eat with someone wanting to kiss you and touch you all the time, but he’s so adorable, who can say no to this face?

Gabriel loves Christmas too, he says he will be an elf when he grows up, we’ll see about that. He can’t wait to meet Santa so he can ask him what are the requirements to work in his workshop. You know, he wants to be ready. Some of Gabriel’s favorite things are elves of course, pine trees, the color green, and hazelnuts. He’s also a pine cone collector. So be ready to have many pine cones everywhere in the house.

Gabriel is a 14 inch baby boy. His skin is DWE in light Brown. His grayish brown eyes have been hand embroidered and his hair is a hand crocheted small loop mohair wig cap in red brown. His blushing was made with an orange red beeswax crayon and is not permanent. He is a natural fibers doll, filled with clean wool. His head has been made in the traditional Waldorf style with some needle felting to make it firmer. His clothes have been made with cotton fabrics, his shoes with faux leather and wool blend felt, and the hat with wool blend yarn. This baby doll is pretty floppy and very fun to pose.

Gabriel will go home with the following clothes and accessories:

  • Handmade button down shirt (Pattern by Mau Gifts)
  • Handmade diaper with snap closures.
  • Handmade pants with suspenders.
  • Handmade faux leather and wool blend shoes (pattern by Down Under Waldorf Dolls)
  • Handmade bow tie
  • Handmade footed sleeper (Pattern by Wild Marigold) though I added the butt flap.
  • Hand crocheted elf hat (Pattern by Posh Patterns)
  • Traveling friend elf lovie

Even though the dolls themselves are made to be strong enough for play, their clothes have many choking hazards and should not be given to small children that still mouth their toys or are not going to be careful dressing them. If you plan to give this doll to a small child, I recommend you take off the clothes and maybe get them some simple clothes with elastics and or velcro.

You can see more photos of the babies in their album.

And you can also watch a little video of them getting ready.

Each baby’s adoption fee is 475 USDollars plus shipping. Shipping inside Mexico is free; to the US, PR, and Canada is 33 USDollars, and for the rest of the world is 50 USDollars via Mexpost (Mexican Priority shipping).

If you would like to adopt one of them, make sure you comment on this post stating the name of the baby doll: Gabriel, for the boy, and/or Angélica for the girl. If you like them both, make sure you write the names in the priority you would like them. If there is more than one person interested in any of the dolls, I will draw a name. I will take entries for these babies until tomorrow Saturday September 25 at 3pm CDT. Remember comments are only visible to me.

Once a family has been chosen I will send a PayPal invoice that is due upon receipt. There are short payment plans available but 1/3 of the doll needs to be paid up front and the rest in the next two months.

In the event any of these babies do not find a loving home in the time stated above, the doll will be listed in my shop and announced on Facebook and Instagram.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend. I know I will since my birthday is Monday and we will celebrate Sunday!!! So watch for a doll patterns sale on those days. Yay!

Thank you for taking the time to read about these two cute babies. I hope you love them very much and they start getting you pumped up for Christmas.

Read you soon!

Hugs,

Aubrey
