In all this world there is nothing so beautiful than a happy child.
-L. Frank Baum

Happy Sunday everyone. Hope you are enjoying some quality family time, we surely are. Though I just took a little time to write about my new baby girl, Sabine.
Sabine is the happiest, most playful baby I have made. She always has a smile on her face and thinks everything is a game. Let me tell you is a little bit of a struggle to put clothes on her. First of all she rather be naked because she says it’s hot, and she also thinks I’m just playing and keeps hiding herself everywhere and giggling. She also won’t let me put on pajamas for sleep. She sleeps with only her diaper. Hopefully if you adopt her, you can convince her eventually to wear pajamas.
Some of Sabine’s favorite things to play with are dolls, blankets to make forts, tents, capes, and just hide under them. She also loves hats and shoes. Seriously, she will be naked with just a hat and shoes around the house. This little fire cracker won’t let you ever be bored.

Sabine also would much rather be outside than inside the house. At least she understands that we have to put clothes for that, so that is the only time she’s excited to get dressed. We have been spending a lot of time outside lately and she’s starting to get some freckles on her pretty face. I decided to make her a bonnet with a big brim to protect her face. Even though freckles are super cute, I don’t want her to burn her skin. Merida’s sun is pretty strong.
Sabine has waited a little longer than usual to be made. In my first attempt I made some mistakes on her face and decided to just rip the skin off and start again. It sounds painful and it definitely was to me, not so much for her. I then took a break and made my ABC babies, to then come back to her and little by little she started taking shape and going a little off the original design because well, she’s way too playful to stick to a plan. hahaha!

Sabine is a 17 inch natural fibers art baby doll. Her skin is DWE in light brown color, her limbs are firmly filled with clean wool. Her torso is weighted with glass beads. Her head is floppy, just like a real newborn baby and needs to be supported at all times. Her arms and legs have been hand sewn to her torso three times to make it extra strong. They are very floppy as well and bend at the elbow, thighs, and knees. Her head is firmly needle felted and soft sculpted in the mouth. Her eyes have been hand embroidered with cotton DMC thread. Sabine’s hair is a hand crocheted big wild loop mohair wig cap that has been hand sewn to her head.
Sabine is not a toy. She’s an art doll intended for gentle play by an adult collector or an older child 10 and up. She likes to be cuddled and held but just like you would be gentle with a newborn baby, you need to be gentle with her. She feels great to hold too.

Sabine will go home with all the clothes and accessories you see in her photos.
- Cloth diaper with snaps
- Romper with snap closure and flower decorative buttons.
- Hand crocheted green pixie bonnet
- Hand crocheted green booties
- Handmade white linen dress
- Handmade bonnet with embroidery. Pattern for the bonnet by I Think Sew
- Handmade diaper cover
- Hand crocheted mary jane shoes. Pattern by October Rose Dolls
- Her baby gnome doll

If you would like to see more photos of Sabine (I took way too many, lol) you can see them in her album.
You can also look at this video to have a better idea of what she feels like.

Sabine’s adoption fee is 735 USDollars plus shipping. Shipping inside Mexico is free with standard mail with tracking. Shipping outside Mexico needs to be by a private courier and fully insured because she is a weighted doll. Shipping to the US, PR, and Canada is 60 USDollars. Other parts of the world would need a revised shipping quote.
There is a short payment plan available to purchase her. Please ask for the payment plan rules if you don’t know them yet.
If you wish to adopt this happy baby girl just comment below stating so and remember to enter your PayPal email address. Also remember that comments will not be visible to the public, only to me.
I will take entries for Sabine until tomorrow Monday 23, 2021 at 6pm CDT. If more than one person is interested I will draw a name. Once a family has been chosen I will send a PayPal invoice that is due upon receipt.
