The word “imperfect” actually spells “I’m perfect” because everyone is perfect in their own imperfect ways.

My new baby girl is finally ready. I am truly in love with her and I was contemplating keeping her. I think that might have been the reason I kept pushing back the making of her clothes. However, I feel that taking my time to think and rethink these clothes paid off. I love her two outfits very much. I hope you love them too. One was inspired in Mexico, and actually made from a child’s Mexican dress and the other ended up being improvised because half way through cutting the fabric, I realized I didn’t have enough for the pattern. haha! I had to change the design a little and I like it way more my way.
I also weighted her a little more heavily than other previous dolls. She has weight on her arms and legs as well as in her torso. She weights 1 kilo 200 grams (2.64 pounds).

Sienna has been such a nice and patient girl. I think having my studio full of girls at the moment has made a difference. I’m currently working on three custom baby girls, so I guess, Sienna didn’t mind waiting at all. She had more time to play with her sister friends. You should see them together; they laugh and giggle, play all sort of things, and even sleep cuddling with each other. The goodbyes are going to be a little harder this time.

Now let me tell you a little more about Sienna. Well, she’s obviously a very social baby. She doesn’t like to be by herself at all. If you adopt her and need to go to work or school make sure you leave her with some other dollies she can play with. She also does not like to sleep by herself, that is the main reason I made her a little baby dolly of her own. They can keep each other company at night. However, don’t be surprised if she still cries for you in the middle of the night. She’s definitely a co-sleeper.
Sienna is also the life of the party, the light in the room and a vey happy baby girl. She’s literally everybody’s best friend. She has such a fun and warm personality, you just want to hug her when you see that cute face.

Now, she is not perfect. Well, who is anyway? I do want you to take note of her slight imperfection. Because of the curve of her chin and how thin her neck is, she has a little too many wrinkles under her chin. I have made dolls with a couple of neck wrinkles in the past but they were very little and didn’t really bother me much. It is the price to pay to have a floppy neck, I guess. However, Sienna’s wrinkles are a little more noticeable when she looks up than the wrinkles on some of my other dolls.
I could’ve ripped her skin off and made the chin less curvy, covered her with new skin, and that would have probably solved the problem, but I had already made her face and I thought she was perfect. Well, I still do. I think her little imperfection makes her even more special just like a real human baby.
Sienna’s neck wrinkles They are more noticeable on this side than the other.

She doesn’t really understand this might be an issue though and we have never pointed it out as something she should be ashamed of. Differences and imperfections are celebrated in this house. I have always felt perfection is an enemy of art. I actually have a motto -Never perfect, always special. It has been my motto ever since I started making dolls. Why it would be any different with Sienna?

Sienna is a 16 inch natural fibers art baby doll. Her skin is Heavy Weight Laib Yala in dark brown color, her limbs are firmly filled with clean wool and glass beads. Her torso is weighted with glass beads too. Her head is floppy, just like a real newborn baby and needs to be supported at all times. Her arms and legs have been hand sewn to her torso three times to make it extra strong. They are very floppy as well and bend at the elbow, thighs, and knees. Her head is firmly needle felted. Her face is soft sculpted in the mouth and her eyes have been hand embroidered with cotton DMC thread. Sienna’s hair is a black curly mohair reborn wig that has been hand sewn to her head.
Sienna is not a toy. She’s an art doll intended for gentle play by an adult collector or an older child 8 and up. She likes to be cuddled and held but just like you would be gentle with a newborn baby, you need to be gentle with her. She’s delicious to hold too.

Sienna will go home with all the clothes and accessories you see in her photos.

- Her baby doll

Sienna’s adoption fee is 735 USDollars plus shipping. Due to her slight imperfection I am giving a 10% discount on her, bringing the price down to 661.50 but I will leave it at 660 plus shipping. But please don’t tell her. Shipping inside Mexico is free with standard mail with tracking. Shipping outside Mexico needs to be by a private courier and fully insured because she is a weighted doll. Shipping to the US, PR, and Canada is 60 USDollars. Other parts of the world would need a revised shipping quote.
There is a short payment plan available to purchase her but make sure you ask first because the rules for payment plans have changed and you must pay 1/3 of the doll’s price up front.
If you wish to adopt this imperfectly perfect baby girl just comment below stating so and remember to enter your PayPal email address. Also remember that comments will not be visible to the public, only to me.
I will take entries for Sienna until Tuesday 13, 2021 at 3pm CDT. If more than one person is interested I will draw a name. Once a family has been chosen I will send a PayPal invoice that is due upon receipt.
As always by commenting you agree you are 18 years or older and please do not comment for someone else.
Sienna has found a loving home.
