Raven, an unusual baby girl

It’s ok to be different. It’s ok to be unique. It’s ok to be weird. It’s ok to stand out.

I finally present to you my new baby, Raven.

Little Raven is certainly a special baby. You can see that right away. She was found in the woods by a group of bird watchers apparently abandoned in a wooden box and wrapped on a blanket. They named her Raven because they swear they saw a Raven at the spot she was found. She was brought to us because they think we could find her a home. So here I am trying very hard to find her one.

Little Raven has been a hard nut to crack. We don’t know anything about her past so that has made everything a little harder. There was no letter, no clothes, no lovey, and no witnesses. No one seems to know where she came from so we have been learning about her by trial and error.

Raven has a sad expression most of the time and looks away like she is longing for something, or maybe someone.  We are still a long way to fully understand her. She is calm most of the time and does not give us a hard time. I just feel she needs and wants a family of her own.

I’m not sure what species little Raven is, but she is so adorable I really couldn’t care less. I’m not saying it will be easy to raise her. She’s obviously different from other babies and she will need to have a family to help her embrace and feel proud of her uniqueness.

I was not going to tell you about this, but now I feel I must. Raven has a special power. When she gets upset or very happy, Raven changes a little, well…completely. She turns into a whole different baby. I’m not saying this figuratively, I’m saying this literally. Is like she shape shifts into different babies. However, she seems to not notice this, so I’m guessing she can’t control it. So this is another thing you should be willing to accept before you adopt her. IMG_9537

If you have decided to adopt this baby and love her unconditionally you should know that Raven is a 15 inch preemie size baby doll. Her body is made out of organic cotton interlock fabric hand dyed to a vibrant blue color. She is fully soft sculpted and anatomically correct. Raven has hand embroidered eyes and hair. Her arms are hand sewn to her body (they are floppy) and the legs are string jointed three times with extra strong nylon thread for better movement. Her head is attached with super strong nylon thread and it is very floppy. You need to hold her head when you carry her, just like a real baby. This baby girl doll is stuffed with soft polyester stuffing and she is approximately 15 inches tall. She is lightly weighted with non colored craft sand in her torso, legs, and head. She is hand painted with dark blue fabric paint. She fits loosely into preemie clothes but she really rather not wear them. Believe me, I’ve tried and she’s not happy about it.

Raven will go home wrapped in her yellow blanket and with a traveling friend. Her adoption fee is 140 USD. Shipping inside Mexico is free. Shipping to the US and Canada is 33 USD. Shipping to other parts of the world is 50 USD.
