That time of the year has come. I actually thought we were going to skip the creepy babies this year because this one showed up at my door pretty late. Now if you have been following me for at least a year, you already know the story with these babies. Though I am not completely sure what the specific story of this one is.

Apparently the crazy doctor has been trying to bring babies back to life again. The thing is, he does it without anyone knowing, not even the parents. So when he thinks he is going to give them a pleasant surprise, they are usually horrified. So when this happens, he ends up giving the babies to me so I can find them a home. I am not complaining, I mean, the babies are pretty cute and I have never had any problems finding them homes. It also happens once or twice a year only.

Now let’s talk a little about Franca. Franca is a sweet baby girl, very loving, curious, funny, and easy to take care of, but there is a catch, she will be a baby forever. And she needs to be recharged in order to wake up. Why is this? Well, this is a baby that unfortunately didn’t make it when she was born. However, this specific doctor has never been able to accept these things, so he always tries to revive the babies. I am not sure what he does. He’s sort of a mad scientist. The thing I know is that those little screws you see on her temples are there so you can charge her with some wire and electricity. Oh, and she has that greenish skin tone because she had already started the process of decomposing before he brought her back to life, but don’t worry, the process stopped once he was able to revive her, so she doesn’t smell or anything like that.

Franca loves being around people, and cuddles are her favorite thing in the world. So if you are a cuddler, this might be the baby for you.

Franca is a 10 inch natural fibers art baby doll. In case you haven’t noticed yet, she was inspired by the Frankenstein monster from the book, but way cuter of course. She’s fully soft sculpted and anatomically correct. She also has some details that make her a cute little monster. Her skin is organic cotton interlock hand dyed to a gray-ish green. Her whole body is fully lined and mostly stuffed with glass beads. She only has wool on her toes, hands, belly and buttocks. That is why she is so floppy. Her head is floppy. Her arms have been hand sewn to her torso three times to make it extra strong. They are floppy as well. Her head is firmly needle felted and soft sculpted in the mouth and eyes. She has embroidery thread eyelashes. Franca has no hair but has some embroidered stitches around her head, you know, where she was opened to reactivate her brain. Her little screws are made with wool felt. I made them a little different this year and I actually like them more like this. I decided not to blush her because I felt her character wouldn’t be blushed but if you prefer me to blush her, let me know. I’ll be happy to do it and I’ll also send you a piece of cloth with beeswax to refresh her blushing.

Franca is not a toy. She’s an art doll intended for gentle play by an adult collector or an older child 10 and up. She likes to play and cuddle but you need to be gentle with her like you would be with a real newborn baby.

Franca will go home with only a diaper with safety pins, a simple pink ribbon, and her ghost doll. She will be inside a hand crocheted cocoon, and inside a cloth bag.

Franca’s adoption fee is 575 USDollars plus shipping. Shipping inside Mexico is free with standard mail with tracking (It can be upgraded to Mexpost or private courier at the customer’s expense).

Shipping outside Mexico can be either by priority shipping or a private courier. Priority shipping to Canada is 35 USDollars

Shipping to the US needs to be by private courier because the Mexican regular post is not taking packages to the US at the moment. Shipping through a private courier is 65 USDollars for the US.

Other parts of the world will need a revised shipping quote.

I will take entries for Franca until, Thursday September 11, 2025 at 4pm CST (Mexico City Time). If more than one person is interested I will draw a name. Once a family has been chosen I will send a PayPal invoice that is due upon receipt. Because I know we all live in different time zones, the person that gets selected will have until Friday September 12, 2025 at 4 am to pay for the invoice. If they fail to do so, I will draw a new name.
