Hope things are good in your part of the world. Here life is pretty normal still and weather is getting warmer every day. Can’t wait to go the beach again. I think we will in a couple of weeks.

Now let me talk to you about what you really are here for; my new baby , Orion. How about I tell you how we found him. Monday was a very hot day here in Merida. We had all windows and doors open. However, once it started to get darker, the weather also started to change; a sudden storm hit. We had to run to close all doors and windows as everything started to get wet. All of a sudden we hear a loud noise and lightning struck our backyard. Kids started crying, dog hid away trembling, and I would lie if I said I was not scared. When the commotion dissipated, we all could hear a baby cry. I first thought it was one of the neighbors, but the cries came from our backyard. My dog was the first one to go check, she barked and seemed to want us to go check, so we did. There was a hole on the ground, I think where the lighting struck. Inside the hole there was this little gray creature with enormous eyes. He was like nothing I have ever seen, but he was the cutest thing ever. I wasn’t sure if it was ok to touch it, but he was crying so much, I just followed my mother instincts and carried him. He quickly calmed down and started to cuddle. I don’t know if I’m just being delusional but I really think he is an alien. I actually don’t know if it is a he or a she. I just felt it was a boy, so we kept that way.

We have been taking care of him and he seems to enjoy human food, games, books, and such. He even plays with my dog but the cat is scared of him. We named him Orion because we say he fell from the stars. He is a very well behaved baby so far but there is one thing that worries me just a bit. I am not sure yet but I think Orion might want to eat the cat. There is something about the way he looks at the cat, and the fact that the cat is scared of him, makes me really suspicious. So I do need to find Orion a home, because I do love my cat very much and I don’t want to risk it. Plus the cat was here first. haha! But other than that, Orion is a very sweet baby. He seems very curious and attentive, learns very quickly, and loves human touch. I have caught him looking at the sky at night and wonder if he misses home, if there is a family looking for him. I wonder if he remembers his mom and looks at the sky to try to find her.

I hope I can find him a very loving home where he can look at the stars every day and with no cats or maybe someone that understands him better. Maybe I am just misinterpreting his intentions and he just really wants to play with my cat. hehe!

Orion is a 10 inch alien baby. He was long overdue and I am so happy I got to finally make him because I love him so much. He was mainly inspired by the Alien Baby Will Smith Catches on the first ¨Men In Black¨ Movie. But of course, I added some details, and turned it into a Chulona version.

Orion’s skin is Organic Cotton Interlock hand dyed to a gray color. His whole body is fully lined and mostly stuffed with glass beads. He only has wool on his head, belly, and buttocks. That is why he is so floppy. His head is floppy. His four arms have been hand sewn to his torso three times to make it extra strong. They are floppy as well. His head is firmly needle felted and soft sculpted in the mouth, nose, and eyes. His eyes have been hand embroidered with DMC thread. He’s soft sculpted on some places, has a cute little tushy and belly button too.

Orion will go home inside a hand crocheted cocoon and with only his alien teddy that looks like a Teletubbie. haha!

This doll is not a toy, it is an art doll, intended for adults and children 10 years or older that do not mouth their toys and can be gentle with their dolls.

Orion’s adoption fee is 560 USDollars plus shipping. Shipping inside Mexico is free with Standard registered mail (It can be upgraded at the customer’s expense). Unfortunately, I cannot ship weighted dolls like Rocco to the US and Australia at the moment.

Canada is 35 USDollars through Mexpost (Mexican Priority Shipping). Shipping to Europe is 50 USDollars with priority shipping. Other countries will need a revised quote.

I will take entries for Orion until Saturday March 15, 2026, at 4pm CST (Mexico City Time). Once a family has been chosen I will send a PayPal invoice that is due upon receipt. Because I know some people live in a different time zone, I will give until 4am CST on March 16 for the doll to be paid for or else the doll will go to the next person.
