It is officially Christmas in our house. We put up the tree, decorated, made hot chocolate and s’mores, and even started a new big Christmas puzzle. There is something about this season that makes me feel warm inside, even when it is chilly. Does that happen to you too?
I’ve been thinking of new Christmas baby ideas and I wanted to make a wool snow baby. I originally thought of him bigger and made out of cotton interlock, but then I went with a smaller version. I wanted to see how well he was going to be received before I made a bigger version. I also changed his skin for cotton velour which in my opinion makes for better snow than interlock. Don’t you think? The result is this cute little snow baby that I love so much.
Meet North, a chilly little friend that loves the cold. He is having a little bit of a hard time here, because we live in the Caribbean. Hot weather is not the best for him, you see, he tends to melt, but since we have had a couple of chillier days, he hasn’t done so bad. However, when days are hot, he spends the day in the air conditioner in my studio and he mostly sleeps in the fridge. Nevertheless I need to find him a home soon. It is hard to work in such low temperatures having to wear full coats and scarfs. Also, I’m scared to know how much we are going to pay for electricity next month.
If you are already falling in love with this little cutie let me tell you some of his favorite things. North loves ice cream, frozen fruit, and yogurt. He is not very fond of teas and soups. He loves Frosty the snow man and he keeps asking when he will get to play in the snow. He actually needs snow to grow. I didn’t think about that when I made him, so I guess the longer he stays with me, the longer he will be a baby. North is loving Christmas right now, the lights, the colors, the smells, the food, the music. Can you guess what his favorite song is? Yep, Frosty again.
North is a very happy baby. He seems to always be in a good mood and even makes everyone around him smile. He has a special, positive energy about him. He feels like Christmas to me.
North is an 7.5 inch baby snowman. His skin is organic cotton velour. His eyes were embroidered with DMC thread. He has a wool felt nose and wooden buttons on his belly. This doll is fully lined. Stuffed with mostly glass beads for weight and some wool on feet, hands, and buttocks. The head was made in the classic Waldorf style and then completely needle felted to make it firmer. Mouth is soft sculpted. His little bits of hair are mercerized cotton thread.
North will go home with most of the clothes and accessories you see in his photos. All handmade by me.

North’s adoption fee is 330 USDollars plus shipping. Shipping inside Mexico is free with Standard registered mail (It can be upgraded at the customer’s expense); to the US is 65 USDollars via DHL, insured. Dolls to the US can only be sent through private courier since the Mexican post office does not take packages to the US at the moment.
Canada is 30 USDollars through Mexpost (Mexican Priority Shipping). Other countries is 50 US Dollars. Unfortunately weighted dolls like North cannot be shipped to Australia.
If you live in another country than the US and would like your doll to be sent with a private courier with full insurance let me know so I can give you an accurate quote.

If you would like to adopt this sweet chilly baby, make sure you fill out the form below. If there is more than one person interested, I will draw a name. I will take entries for North until Thursday, November 27, 2025 at 4pm CST (Mexico City Time). Once a family has been chosen I will send a PayPal invoice that is due upon receipt. Because I know some people live in different time zones, I will give until 4am CST on November 28 for the invoice to be paid for. If it is not paid for by then, I will cancel the invoice and the doll will go to the next person.
Please only fill out the form if you are sure you want the doll and you are able to pay for it in full. This doll is for sale if you get selected you get to buy her. I am not giving the doll for free.
