Life itself is the most wonderful fairytale.
-Christian Andersen

Hello everyone. Hope you haven’t missed me yet, or my babies. Not many babies for sale these days, though I have been working a lot. New patterns, new tutorials, and custom dolls have been taken a lot of my time lately.
Nevertheless, I have been thinking of this dolly for a while now. I had a new body design in my head and I had to try it with her. It took me 4 tries to get the pattern as it is now, and I feel I might tweak a couple of things more for next time I use it. I must say I wasn’t sure about it until I saw the baby finished. I actually love how her body looks and feel. More often than not I have put her on the side and it’s like she gets into the best poses by herself. What are some new things about this body you might ask? Well the shape of the torso makes for the doll to have a bigger pot belly. The arms are attached in a different way to minimize on flat seams. Her feet have a different shape and a new sculpting technique. Her knees are more prominent, and her thighs form the cutest rolls when you bend her. She also has 3D eyelashes and very little hair to try to make her look more baby-ish while still having some cute curls to honor her name.

Ricitos is a sweet girl that loves nature, especially flowers. Her favorite food is porridge and she loves all kinds of bears, teddy bears, grizzly bears, polar bears, dolls dressed as bears, you name it. She also tends to fall asleep anytime, anywhere. Noises are not a problem, she can sleep through anything. You would think she is an easy baby to take care of because of that but let me warn you, she is not. I don’t know how she does it but every time I leave her sleeping somewhere, she moves somewhere else. I have even found her sleeping in the back yard. She is sneaky like that, so make sure you have good locks because she is just a baby and still has no sense of danger at all.
As you can already tell, Ricitos is inspired on Goldilocks and the three bears. This is my baby version of her before the adventure with the bears came to be.

Ricitos is a 13 inch natural fibers art baby doll. She is fully soft sculpted and anatomically correct. Her skin is De Witte Engle in a light peach color. Her whole body is fully lined and mostly stuffed with glass beads that also serve as weighting material to give a more realistic feel. She only has wool on her toes, hands, belly, knees and buttocks. That is why she is so floppy. Her head is floppy. Her arms have been hand sewn to her torso three times to make it extra strong. They are floppy as well. Her head is firmly needle felted and soft sculpted in the mouth and eyes. She has cotton eyelashes. Ricitos has a hand dyed, hand crocheted big loop mohair wig that has been sewn to her head. This style of hair cannot be brushed. Her freckles have been drawn with a micron pen. Her blushing has been made with colored pencils, and an orange/red bees wax crayon. It is not permanent and it can be refreshed with a crayon.
Ricitos is not a toy. She’s an art doll intended for gentle play by an adult collector or an older child 10 and up. She likes to play and cuddle but you need to be gentle with her like you would be with a real newborn baby.

Ricito’s adoption fee is 785 USDollars plus shipping. Shipping inside Mexico is free with standard mail with tracking (It can be upgraded to Mexpost or private courier at the customer’s expense). Shipping outside Mexico can be either by priority shipping or a private courier. Shipping to the US through priority is 35 usdollars. Through a private courier is 75 USDollars. Only dolls that are sent through private courier can be insured in case the doll gets lost. Other parts of the world will need a revised shipping quote. Customs fees and taxes are the responsibility of the buyer.
If you wish to adopt Ricitos make sure to fill out the form at the end of the post. If you are unsure that your entry went through, just send me a private message and I’ll confirm it to you.
The doll can be paid for in two payments. One on the day you get selected to adopt her and the next payment a month after that. Shipping can be paid later on when the doll is ready to ship. If you choose this payment plan, the doll won’t be shipped until the first week of September since I will be away the whole month of August.
Please only fill out the form if you are completely sure you want this doll and are able to pay for her in full now or according to the payment plan above.

I will take entries for Ricitos until, Saturday July 12, 2025 at 4pm CST (Mexico City Time). If more than one person is interested I will draw a name. Once a family has been chosen I will send a PayPal invoice that is due upon receipt. Because I know we all live in different time zones, the person that gets selected will have until Sunday July 13, 2025 at 4am to pay for the invoice. If they fail to do so, I will draw a new name.
As always by filling out the form you agree you are 18 years or older and please do not fill out the form for someone else, that is just not fair for others.

Thank you so much for taking the time to meet my sweet baby girl.
I hope you love her as much as I do.
Read you soon.
Hugs,
Aubrey
