There are places in the heart you don’t even know exist until you love a child.

A new baby os ready fro a home. I know it took me a minute to bring you a new doll. Teaching, Patreon, and creating new patterns are taking most of my time these days. I have also been making a doll for my son and another one for my niece. But we finally have Celia ready for a home.
Celia was the doll I made during my Cuddly Baby Class. She was made slowly during the courseof three months and her clothes were made the fourth month. So yes, she was made slowly and carefully.
I usually have an idea of the doll I am creating but with this baby I wasn’t really sure if it was going to be a girl or a boy. It was only when I finished her that I knew she was a girl. I also took my time with her clothes because I actually had no idea what to make for her. I wanted her to be comfy because she is a baby that sleeps a lot. So a lot of knit and crochet felt like the right choice. I also went with a simple romper and tights that still keep her comfy but also warm.

Unlike other babies, Celia likes the dark. She is not a fan of sleeping with the lights on or in a light room. She likes it cozy, warm, and dark. I felt that in a way she was like a mushroom, that thrives in hot, dark, humid places. Plus I also thought she would look cute dressed in a mushroom theme. Don’t you think?

Celia is a 10 inch natural fibers art baby doll. She’s not fully soft sculpted but she has a cute belly button and bum. Her skin is De Witte Engle fabric in a light brown color. Her whole body is fully lined and mostly stuffed with glass beads. She only has wool on her toes, hands, belly and buttocks. That is why she is so floppy. Her head is floppy. Her arms have been hand sewn to her torso three times to make it extra strong. They are floppy as well. Her head is firmly needle felted and soft sculpted in the mouth and eyes. She has a bald a cute bald head. Her blushing has been made with an orange red bees wax crayon and colored pencils. It is not permanent and it can be refreshed with a crayon.
Celia is not a toy. She’s an art doll intended for gentle play by an adult collector or an older child 10 and up. She likes to play and cuddle but you need to be gentle with her like you would be with a real newborn baby.

Celia will go home with the clothes and accessories you see in her photos. All items are handmade by me.

Celia’s adoption fee is 625 USDollars plus shipping. Shipping inside Mexico is free with standard mail with tracking (It can be upgraded to Mexpost or private courier at the customer’s expense). Shipping outside Mexico can be either by priority shipping or a private courier. Shipping to the US through priority is 35 usdollars. Through a private courier is 60 USDollars. Only dolls that are sent through private courier can be insured in case the doll gets lost. Other parts of the world will need a revised shipping quote. Customs fees and taxes are the responsibility of the buyer. I cannot ship weighted dolls like Celia to Australia anymore.

If you are interested in this sweet baby doll please fill out the form at the end of this post. Only fill out the form if you are sure you want this doll and you are able to pay for her. I will take entries for Celia until, Thursday June 19, 2025 at 4pm CST (Mexico City Time). If more than one person is interested I will draw a name. Once a family has been chosen I will send a PayPal invoice that is due upon receipt. Because I know we all live in different time zones, the person that gets selected will have until Thursday at 3am to pay for the invoice. If fail to do so, I will draw a new name.
As always by filling out the form you agree you are 18 years or older and please do not fill out the form for someone else, that is just not fair for others.
If Celia does not find a home in the time stated above, she will be listed in my shop.

Thank you for stopping by and meeting my sweet little Celia
Read you soon.
Hugs,
Aubrey
