Hi everyone. How is life treating you these days? I know the world has been a little crazy lately so I hope my new little one brings a big smile to your face.

So in these crazy times, something crazy happened to us. We found a baby girl at our doorstep wrapped in an old blanket and with only a letter to tell us her name and some of her story. Her name is Pippi and apparently her mother passed away and her father is lost at sea. Not sure about the details but she came with some handmade clothes. They were lovingly made by her mama with the little things she could find. I must say I think she did a wonderful job. I love her little blue dress with some pink here and there. She has the sweetest mismatched long socks and super big shoes. I think her mama wanted the shoes to last for a long time and I’m sure they will. Though, honestly, I have noticed she prefers to be barefoot anyway. I now have knitted her a romper, you know, to have her something else to wear in this hot weather. I tried to give her shoes too but that’s when I discovered she loves being barefoot. I have also tried different hairstyles on her but braids to the sides seem to be her favorite one. I guess her mama knew that too.

Pippi came with Mr. Nilsson. That’s what the letter said his name was. Mr. Nilsson is her pet monkey and they love each other very much. I am not sure who left them here but apparently someone that wnts her to find a loving home.

Pippi is a very happy baby. Pippi is very curious, very loud, and babbles a lot. She actually has two tiny white bottom teeth which she loves to show off all the time. Pippi loves being read to, sang to, tickled, and played with all the time. She is a pretty strong baby and she likes to play rough and laughs very loudly, it is the cutest thing. As long as she is entertained she will give you no problem. I promise. Are you up to adopt this lovely, curious, strong, funny, and super cute baby girl?

Pippi is a 10 inch natural fibers art baby doll. She’s not fully soft sculpted but she has a cute belly button and bum. Her skin is heavy weight Laib Yala fabric in tanned peach. Her whole body is fully lined and mostly stuffed with glass beads. She only has wool on her toes, hands, belly and buttocks. That is why she is so floppy. Her head is floppy. Her arms have been hand sewn to her torso three times to make it extra strong. They are floppy as well. Her head is firmly needle felted and soft sculpted in the mouth. Her green eyes and tiny bottom teeth have been hand embroidered with DMC thread. Pippi’s hair is a hand crocheted wild brushable mohair wig that has been hand sewn to her head. Her blushing has been made with an orange red bees wax crayon. It is not permanent and it can be refreshed with a crayon. Her freckles have been drawn with a Micron brown pen.

Pippi is not a toy. She’s an art doll intended for gentle play by an adult collector or an older child 10 and up. She likes to play and cuddle but you need to be gentle with her like you would be with a real newborn baby.

Pippi will go home with the clothes and accessories you see in her photos. All items are handmade by me.

Pippi’s adoption fee is 650 USDollars plus shipping. Shipping inside Mexico is free with standard mail with tracking (It can be upgraded to Mexpost or private courier at the customer’s expense). Shipping outside Mexico can be either by priority shipping or a private courier. Shipping to the US through priority is 35 usdollars. Through a private courier is 60 USDollars. Only dolls that are sent through private courier can be insured in case the doll gets lost. Other parts of the world will need a revised shipping quote. Customs fees and taxes are the responsibility of the buyer. I cannot ship weighted dolls like Pippi to Australia anymore.

I will take entries for Pippi until, tomorrow Wednesday March 19, 2025 at 4pm CST (Mexico City Time). If more than one person is interested I will draw a name. Once a family has been chosen I will send a PayPal invoice that is due upon receipt. Because I know we all live in different time zones, the person that gets selected will have until Thursday at 4am to pay for the invoice. If fail to do so, I will draw a new name.
