The time that many have been waiting for is finally here! I am taking custom orders. I know this time I took them a little later than I usually do, but I wanted to enjoy my little vacation and not be stressed out by custom orders while on it. Please make sure you read this post well before you submit your name for a custom spot. I am going to try to be short. Though that might not be possible. Ha!

Now let me explain how this will work. As usual I will only open 2 custom spots that will be offered lottery style. The only styles and sizes I will offer are the ones described below. However, this time I have divided them into child friendly dolls and art dolls. Also, please note I am a baby doll maker. I only make dolls that are babies. So no toddlers or big kids, just babies.

If you are selected for one of the custom spots you can order more than one doll, the maximum of dolls will be explained further down, with the explanation of each style and they can be different sizes and styles as well.

I am taking these custom orders now so I can order the supplies I need for them and can start them late January or early February. Most of the material I use cannot be found in Mexico and it can take up to a month to get to me.

With these custom baby dolls you will be able to choose, some of the sizes, gender, skin tone, eye color or closed eyes, hair color and style (wild brushable mohair, loop mohair, yarn, or embroidered hair). Fabric hair and wigs can be done but is limited to the choices I can find. Weft options are available but will have an extra cost, we will need to discuss it. For clothes we will talk about colors and clothes styles you like but I will tell you I work best with some creative freedom. My  Pinterest and Instagram are full of photos of my previous dolls, so you can have a better idea of what I can do and what you would like your baby to look like, but remember I will be making only the sizes described in this blog post. My work is pretty organic and every doll has its own personality. I will NOT make copies of my previous dolls nor from other doll makers. I don’t even think I can, every doll is unique, that is the magic of handmade. However, I can make a doll that resembles a doll I previously made. I will NOT make copyrighted dolls and characters, I rather stay out of trouble but magical beings, historical figures, and characters from books are good. I also don’t make portraits dolls but I can make a doll that resembles someone.

Now to discuss the doll styles and sizes available this time.

Child Friendly Dolls

6 to 7 inch Waldorf Inspired Doll– (Size is approximate) 355 USD per doll. In this size the torso and legs are one piece. The arms and legs only bend at the shoulders and hip. They have floppy heads . They come with either, embroidered, hand crocheted wild brushable mohair, or big loop mohair wig caps. Dolls will come dressed in a 5 piece outfit. For example: a diaper, dress, diaper cover, head piece, and booties. There will always be at least one item in crochet or knitted unless otherwise instructed by you. You can order up to 3 of these in one custom spot.

Extras:

-Extra 4 piece outfit: Add 45 dollars depending on details.

-Weight: Add 25 dollars. (Not recommended for small children)

-Full soft sculpting (Fingers and toes, knee dimples and such): Add 15 dollars.

-Needle felted face: Add 40 dollars (Not recommended for small children)

I want to make sure you know that small dolls are not necessarily easier or quicker to make. Most of the time they are harder to make than big dolls. Making a small doll requires much more skill and precision.

11 inch Waldorf Inspired Doll – 450 USD per doll. In this size the torso and legs are one piece also. These dolls have wobbly not floppy heads. They come with either embroidered hair, hand crocheted wild brushable mohair or big loop mohair wig caps. You can choose from 2 styles of dolls:

Style one has floppy arms and legs that bend at the elbows, knees, and wrists as well.

Style two has legs and arms that bend only at the shoulders and hips but their legs and arms have a cleaner look.

Dolls will come dressed in a 5 piece outfit. For example: a diaper, romper, tights, head piece, and booties. There will always be at least one item in crochet or knitted unless otherwise instructed by you. You can order up to 3 of these in one custom spot.

Extras:

-Extra 4 piece outfit: Add 55 dollars depending on details.

-Weight: Add 30 dollars. (Not recommended for small children)

-Full soft sculpting (Fingers and toes, knee dimples and such) : Add 20 dollars.

-Needle felted features: Add 60 dollars (Not recommended for small children)

Art Dolls

These dolls are not intended for children. They are delicate and need to be played with gently like you would play with a real newborn baby.

10 inch cuddly baby doll– 675 USDollars. These dolls are very floppy and weighted. Their whole bodies are fully lined and mostly stuffed with glass beads. They only have wool on their toes, hands, belly and buttocks. That is why they are so floppy and posable. Their head is floppy. Their heads are firmly needle felted and soft sculpted in the mouth and eyes. These dolls come bald, no hair but made with a technique that makes for a nice finish as you can see in the photos above. They are not fully soft sculpted but they have a cute little tushie and a belly button.

Dolls will come dressed in a 5 piece outfit. For example: a diaper, romper, tights, head piece, and booties. There will always be at least one item in crochet or knitted unless otherwise instructed by you. You can order up to 3 of these in one custom spot.

13 inch Cuddly Dolls-735 USDollars. These are a bigger version of the cuddly 10 inch dolls. They are of course heavier and feel more like a real baby.

These dolls are very floppy and weighted. Their whole bodies are fully lined and mostly stuffed with glass beads. They only have wool on their toes, hands, belly and buttocks. That is why they are so floppy and posable. Their head is floppy. Their heads are firmly needle felted and soft sculpted in the mouth and eyes. These dolls come bald, no hair but made with a technique that makes for a nice finish as you can see in the photos above. They don’t come fully soft sculpted but they have a cute little tushie and a belly button.

17 inch art doll– 1,405 USDollars, These dolls have floppy heads, arms and legs that bend at elbows and knees as well. They fit into most preemie clothes and they feel like real babies. They are very fun to pose. They come fully soft sculpted and anatomically correct, unless you don’t want them to be of course. Their limbs are fully lined and firmly stuffed with clean wool and glass beads for weight. Their torsos are needle felted in two parts for more realistic movement and weighted with glass beads as well. Their heads are floppy. Their heads are firmly needle felted and soft sculpted in the mouth and nose. They come with hand crocheted wild brushable mohair or big loop mohair wig caps.
Dolls will come dressed in a 5 piece outfit. For example: a diaper, a dress, diaper cover, head piece, and booties. There will always be at least one item in crochet or knitted unless otherwise instructed by you. You can order up to 2 of these in one custom spot.

19 inch art baby doll- 1680 USDollars This is a new size I am offering in my customs. This size requires a lot more time to get the right dimensions since it is made to reflect the measurements of a real standard newborn baby.  These dolls are fully soft sculpted and anatomically correct. Their limbs are fully lined and firmly stuffed with clean wool and glass beads. The doll comes with closed soft sculpted hands. Open hands can be added at an additional price. Their torso is needle felted in two parts and weighted with glass beads as well. The head is floppy. The heads are firmly needle felted and soft sculpted in the mouth and nose. They can come with open or closed eyes. They come with hand crocheted wild brushable mohair or big loop mohair wig caps. They are the heaviest of my dolls weighing around 5 pounds.They fit into most newborn clothes the same way a small newborn would fit.

All baby dolls are sent wrapped in a simple blanket to keep them cozy and comfortable and with a transitional object of my choice (this is really a gift from me to the doll).

Special requests with unusual details may have an extra charge depending on the details of course.

Price does not include shipping. I usually ship my dolls internationally through priority mail with tracking (this service does not allow me to insure the doll though). If you wish me to send the doll through a private courier in order to get insurance, the shipping price will increase significantly.

Dolls will be paid in installments but the first two payments need to be paid before I start the doll. First payment is due the day you get selected to purchase the custom spot. It is a 75 USDollars (non refundable deposit) to reserve your spot. These 75 dollars will go towards the total of the doll’s price. The 75 dollars have to be paid within the first 12 hours the invoice is sent or else the spot will go to the next person. Once the deposit is paid for, I will send you an email with all the info we both need to know to make your order. Once the details have been settled, you need to pay half of the doll’s price. This will mainly go towards any shopping I may need to do for your doll. The rest of the doll will be paid once the doll is finished without clothes. I will start making the clothes once the doll is paid in full. Shipping can be paid any time you want as the doll won’t be sent until both the doll and shipping are paid in full.

Only fill the form if you are serious and sure about getting the spot and that you are ok with everything explained before. Make sure the email you enter is your PayPal one.  I will take entries for only 2 custom spots until Tuesday January 7, 2025 at noon CST (Mexico City Time). If there are more than 2 people interested I will draw names from a bowl.

I will start dolls once I get all the materials probably late January. Depending on the size and details of these dolls, they can take anywhere from 1 to 3 months. The number of dolls in an order may also increase the time spent making them. I will make your doll at the same time that I am working on dolls for sale, patterns, and doll making classes. The work will be slower, but still there. I don’t want to rush your doll or the work that I am doing because I want everyone to really love their babies and I also need time to explore my creativity.
