Ten little fingers, ten perfect toes, fill our hearts with love that overflows.

I bring you the last baby of the year. This is Clementina. A baby filled with new techniques, well new techniques for me. This baby took me the longest to make. This was a challenging yet satisfying doll to make. I wanted to, again, try my hand at making a baby with the proportions of a newborn. This has become a tradition now. Every end of the year I try my hand at making a big newborn size doll. I always try new things to accomplish my goals. So this was Clementina’s year.
So what is new this time? Well, I changed the shape of the head. I made it more conical at the back to make it look like most newborn’s. I know with the hair you can’t probably tell, but when you hold her head you can feel it. I also decided to give her a more receding hairline. I made the torso like I usually do for these dolls, However, the measurements and proportions are a little different too. The big differences are the limbs I believe. I didn’t want to have the joints I usually make but I still wanted the movement, so I only put wool in the hands, feet and knees. The rest of the arms and legs are stuffed with glass beads. I also needle felted the hands with some wire inside for better finger movement. I am very pleased with how she turned out but I am almost sure I will keep changing this pattern. For now, I am so in love with her, how heavy she is, and how realistic she feels. I love posing her because she looks so real. I hope you love her as much as I do.
Clementina is a sweet baby, very patient and very perceptive. She seems to know when things are going to work out and when they will not. She will let you know with either a small fuzz or a big smile. If you pay attention you’ll notice she is always right. At least she has been all these days. Clementina is a talkative baby and you will hear her babbling constantly. She even tries to sing songs she hears. And let me warn you, she babbles with intention. Like she’s actually talking to you. I wouldn’t be surprised if she starts talking in the next couple of days.
Some of Clementina’s favorite things are flowers, colors, all colors for that matter. birds, especially hummingbirds. She is big fan of fruit, especially oranges. She likes to be read and sing to and she will interrupt you every now and then to babble some important stuff to you.

Clementina is a 19 inch natural fibers art baby doll. She’s fully soft sculpted and anatomically correct. Her skin is Laib Yala in red brown. Her limbs are fully lined and firmly stuffed with clean wool and glass beads. Her hands have wire and are needle felted for better movement of the fingers. Her torso is needle felted in two parts and weighted with glass beads as well. Her head is floppy. Her arms and legs have been hand sewn to her torso three times to make it extra strong. They are very floppy as well and easy to pose. Her head is firmly needle felted and soft sculpted in the mouth and nose. Clementina’s hair is a hand crocheted brown wild brushable mohair wig cap. It has been hand sewn to her head. This type of hair can be gently brushed. Her blushing has been made with colored pencils, chalk pastels, and an orange/red bees wax crayon. It is not permanent and it can be refreshed with a bees wax crayon. Clementina weights 2.3 Kilos (5 Pounds) She is the heaviest baby doll I have made so far. She also was made to have the dimensions of a newborn baby. She fits into newborn clothes the same way a small newborn would fit.
Clementina is not a toy. She’s an art doll intended for gentle play by an adult collector or an older child 10 and up. She likes to play and cuddle but you need to be gentle with her like you would be with a real baby.

Clementina’s adoption fee is 1,705 USDollars plus shipping. Shipping inside Mexico is free with standard mail with tracking (It can be upgraded to Mexpost or private courier at the customer’s expense). Shipping outside Mexico will be through a private courier and it is 70 USDollars to the US, Puerto Rico, and Canada. Other parts of the world will need a revised shipping quote. Customs fees and taxes are the responsibility of the buyer.
A short, 3 month/ 4 payments plan is available to purchase her. However, at least 1/4 of the doll’s price needs to be paid upfront from which a 50 dollars non refundable deposit will be taken. The rest of the payments will be due at exactly one month intervals after the first payment is due. The doll and shipping cost need to be paid in full before the doll gets shipped.
Clementina has found a loving home!

I will take entries for Clementina until, Tuesday December 17, 2024 at 4pm CST (Mexico City Time). If more than one person is interested I will draw a name. Once a family has been chosen I will send a PayPal invoice that is due upon receipt. Because I know we all live in different time zones, the person that gets selected will have until 4am next morning to pay for the invoice. If they fail to do so, I will draw a new name.
As always by filling out the form you agree you are 18 years or older and please do not fill out the form for someone else, that is just not fair for others.

Thank you for taking the tome to meet my sweet Clementina.
Have a wonderful week.
Read you soon.
Hugs,
Aubrey
