Snowfall rouses the inner child to dream and play once more.
-Angie Weiland-Crosby

How are you doing with Christmas decorations? We just did ours today and it took the whole day to finish. It has been a busy day for us. Especially because with the kids everything turns just a tad harder. Christmas is so exciting for them, sometimes the excitement gets in the way of everything. It has also been a little cold and dark these days so my little boy has been feeling a little under the weather, and also the photos of this baby doll where pretty hard to take. The weather was not helping at all but I did my best to show you all you needed to see about this baby. I also made a little video and that always helps.
Now let me introduce you to Gonzalo. He is fascinated with snow, though he hasn’t seen real snow yet. He has only seen it in decorations, snow balls, and of course, the TV. I feel like he has this magical idea of what snow is. I’m not sure he even knows it’s cold. I wish I could show him real snow, because to be honest I do feel it is quite magical also.
Gonzalo is a tiny baby that spends most of his days sleeping as most babies his age do. He is a little fuzzy every time he wakes up, I’m not going to lie. You need to pay attention to him and keep him entertained. That is when snow globes, snow images, and falling snow videos help. I bet if you have real snow to show him it will be even better. I wonder if he would even get fuzzy.

Gonzalo is a 10 inch natural fibers art baby doll. He’s not fully soft sculpted but he has a cute belly button and bum. His skin is Laib Yala fabric in dark brown. His whole body is fully lined and mostly stuffed with glass beads. He only has wool on his toes, hands, belly and buttocks. That is why he is so floppy. His head is floppy. His arms have been hand sewn to his torso three times to make it extra strong. They are floppy as well. His head is firmly needle felted and soft sculpted in the mouth and eyes. Gonzalo has no hair. He is a beautiful bald baby boy. His blushing has been made with colored pencils, and a red bees wax crayon. It is not permanent and it can be refreshed with a crayon.
Gonzalo is not a toy. He’s an art doll intended for gentle play by an adult collector or an older child 10 and up. He likes to play and cuddle but you need to be gentle with him like you would be with a real newborn baby.

Gonzalo will go home with most of the clothes and accessories you see in his photos. All items are handmade by me.
- Cloth diaper with snaps.
- Handmade hooded cotton romper (made with recycled baby clothes)

Gonzalo’s adoption fee is 530 USDollars plus shipping. Shipping inside Mexico is free with standard mail with tracking (It can be upgraded to Mexpost or private courier at the customer’s expense). Shipping outside Mexico can be either by priority shipping or a private courier. Shipping to the US through priority is 35 USdollars. Through a private courier is 60 USDollars. Only dolls that are sent through private courier can be insured in case the doll gets lost. Other parts of the world will need a revised shipping quote. Customs fees and taxes are the responsibility of the buyer.
If you wish to adopt Gonzalo make sure to fill out the form at the end of this post. If you are unsure that your entry went through, just send me a private message and I’ll confirm it to you.
Please only fill out the form if you are completely sure you want this doll and are able to pay for him in full at the moment.

I will take entries for Gonzalo until, Monday November 25, 2024 at 4pm CST (Mexico City Time). If more than one person is interested I will draw a name. Once a family has been chosen I will send a PayPal invoice that is due upon receipt. Because I know we all live in different time zones, the person that gets selected will have until Midnight that day to pay for the invoice. If they fail to do so, I will draw a new name.
As always by filling out the form you agree you are 18 years or older and please do not fill out the form for someone else, that is just not fair for others.

Thank you so much for checking out this last Christmas baby. I hope Gonzalo brings a big smile to your face.
Have a wonderful day.
Read you soon.
Hugs,
Aubrey
