Hope you are all ready for Halloween and día de muertos because they are almost here. I am of course ahead of that and I am already getting ready for Christmas as some of you are also. From making Christmas themed babies to Christmas elves I decided to go a little more simple and to the root. I am really not a religious person but I am a baby loving person and who is the cutest Christmas baby? Well, you all know, and that is how this baby was born. So let me tell you a story.

This little one was left on our door step a couple of days ago. When I saw him for some reason the name Jesús popped in my head, so that is what we are calling him. He is a sweet, pretty easy to care baby. He usually has a smile on his face and animals seem to love him. To tell you the truth, we all seem to love him, I include myself here as well. However, I must say there is something weird, or should I say, peculiar about this baby. He seems to know more than we think. It’s like he can look into our souls. Also I was giving him a bath and I could swear he was crawling on the water, not in, ON the water. My husband thinks I’m just tired and I’m imagining things, who knows, maybe it’s true. I mean when you think you gave water to a baby but then look again and see it was grape juice, you must be going bonkers right? Maybe I do need to take a break. You know what the funny thing is? We never buy juice in our house, so I’m not sure were I even got it from. Anyway, about this sweet baby. I was going to make him clothes but he seems to like the clothes he came in better. Maybe it is too hot for clothes here, who knows. At least I made him a wool cocoon for travel. I’m not sure if he will be going to a colder weather, because yes, he needs to find a home. Even though he is super cute and adorable, I think there is something about him that makes me hallucinate. I mean, I was sure I bought just one loaf of bread, how in the world I ended up with 7. Never mind, let’s keep going.

Jesús is a 7 inch natural fibers baby doll. His skin is DWE in red brown color. His hair is a black hand crocheted small loop mohair yarn wig cap that is hand sewn to his head. His limbs and torso are filled with clean wool. His head is floppy. His legs and arms are floppy on the shoulders and thighs. Arms are sewn directly to the torso three times for extra strength. Legs and torso are one piece. His head is firmly needle felted and soft sculpted. His blushing was made with a red beeswax crayon and it is not permanent. You will get a little piece of cloth with some blush so you can retouch it if necessary. Jesús is fully soft sculpted but not anatomically correct.

This baby is not a toy. This is an art doll intended for gentle play by an adult collector or an older child 7 and up. Jesús likes to play and cuddle and even though he was made as sturdy as possible, you need to be gentle with him like you would be with a real baby.

3. Wool hand crocheted cocoon.
4. Hand crocheted golden headband
5. Lamb doll
6. A wooden manger my husband made for him (I am not charging for this, the manger is a try out and a gift from us)

Jesús’ adoption fee is 310 USDollars plus shipping. Shipping inside Mexico is free with standard mail with tracking (It can be upgraded to Mexpost or private courier at the customer’s expense). Shipping outside Mexico can be either by priority shipping or a private courier. Shipping to the US through priority is 35 usdollars. Other parts of the world will need a revised shipping quote. Customs fees and taxes are the responsibility of the buyer.

I will take entries for Jesús until, Thursday October 31 (Halloween), 2024 at 4pm CST (Mexico City Time). If more than one person is interested I will draw a name. Once a family has been chosen I will send a PayPal invoice that is due upon receipt. Because I know we all live in different time zones, the person that gets selected will have until Friday November 1, 2024 at 4am CST to pay for the invoice. If they fail to do so, I will draw a new name.
