Brace your elves, Christmas is coming.
-Unknown
I am rewatching Game of Thrones, can you tell? ha!

The first Christmas babies of the year are ready for homes. Yay! Christmas has arrived, well at least for me. I chose to make these little elves first because I thought they were going to be quick and easy but oh boy these baby elves kept surprising me while I was making them. They wanted elf boots, Christmas embroidery, colorful hair. You know the drill, I always underestimate the time that a small doll will take me to make. These little ones are made with my Baby Elf Pattern from my Patreon class (Send me a message if you are interested in it. However, I took the pattern and made it smaller. Printed everything at 72% and this is the result. Aren’t they the cutest addition to any Christmas shelf?
Even though I made these, they seem to have acquired magic somehow, the good kind of course. They are gentle souls that seem to be more active during the night. I leave them in my studio every night and the next morning, they appear somewhere else in the house. Most times there is a big mess right next to them or a whole area has been totally decorated for Christmas. I must say I prefer the decorations but I am ok with the messes too. It is fascinating to see all they do each morning, I guess they are just learning and everything must be new and exciting for them.

So let me introduce you to the babies, first we have Candice. This little one is a beauty but also a handful. She is very energetic and wants to help with everything that is Christmas related. She loves helping with decorations and to tell you the truth she is very good at it. Who knew baby elves where this smart. Candice also gives the best hugs and is very loving. However, she is also fearless so you need to keep a close eye on her to make sure she doesn’t hurt herself. Things to know about Candice in case you adopt her are: Her favorite food are Candy Canes, her favorite song is Frosty the Snow Man, she apparently knows Santa and says his name all the time. She also loves to snuggle while listening to Christmas stories.
Baby Candice is an 8 inch natural fibers baby doll. Skin is Heavy Weight Laib Yala in light brown color. Limbs and torso are firmly filled with clean wool. Head is floppy. Legs and arms are floppy on the shoulders and thighs. Arms are sewn directly to the torso three times for extra strength. Legs and torso are one piece. The head is made in Waldorf style but also needle felted in some places to make it more firm. Face is soft sculpted on the mouth, and hand embroidered with DMC cotton embroidery floss. Candice’s hair is a pink hand crocheted small loop mohair wig cap. It has been hand sewn to the head. This hair cannot be brushed. Ears are hand sewn to the head as well. Blushing was made with a red beeswax crayon and it is not permanent. You will get a little piece of cloth with some blush so you can retouch it if necessary.

Next we have Tinsel. This sweet elf spends most of the day sleeping, but don’t let this fool you. He apparently spends all night awake and he is the one that makes the biggest messes. He is a very curious baby that seems to like exploring during the night. I wonder if this is something common, you know, elves are active at night so they can help Santa all night long during Christmas. I think I am onto something here.
Some tips about Tinsel in case you want to adopt him are: He loves Christmas movies, though he falls asleep watching them. Don’t let him eat too many marshmallows, I believe the more marshmallows he eats the biggest the messes he makes. He loves the sound of wrapping paper and tape, he can spend hours playing with that and making the biggest wrapping paper messes ever.

These babies are hand wash only.
These dolls have been made as sturdy as possible but their outfits includes buttons and snaps that can pose as choking hazard for little kids. That is why these dolls are for adults and children 5 years or older that do not mouth their toys and can be gentle with the dolls.

Each baby’s adoption fee is 305 USDollars plus shipping. Shipping inside Mexico is free with Standard registered mail (It can be upgraded at the customer’s expense); to the US, Canada, and PR is 30 USDollars through Mexpost (Mexican Priority Shipping). Other countries will need a revised quote. If you would like your doll to be sent with a private courier with full insurance let me know so I can give you an accurate quote. Customs taxes and fees may apply and they are the costumers responsibility. It takes me a couple of days to get the dolls ready for shipping.
If you wish to adopt one of the babies make sure to fill out the form at the end of the post with the name of the baby you are interested in. Candice for the girl with pink hair, Tinsel for the boy with green hair. If you like them both, make sure you write the names in the order of preference. If you are unsure that your entry went through, just send me a private message and I’ll confirm it to you.
Please only fill out the form if you are completely sure you want one of these dolls and are able to pay for it in full at the moment.
I will take entries for these babies until, Thursday October 24 at 4pm CST (Mexico City Time) . If more than one person is interested in any of the babies I will draw a name. Once a family has been chosen, I will send a PayPal invoice that is due upon receipt. Because I know we all live in different time zones, the person that gets selected will have until Friday October 25 at 6am (Mexico City Time) to pay for the invoice. If they fail to do so, I will draw a new name.

Thank you for taking the time to meet my first Christmas babies of the year. I hope they fill your day with Christmas cheer.
Have a wonderful day.
Read you soon.
Hugs,
Aubrey
