I think all women are witches, in the sense that a witch is a magical being.
-Yoko Ono
Are you ready for Halloween yet? I know it is still early, but when you think about it’s mid September, so I think there is no time to loose. At least that is what Jinju thinks. This little baby os so ready for Halloween. She loves to dress up and spread her magic everywhere. I decided to dress her as a witch and of course, not the normal witch with the black dress and the black hat. My sweet Jinju is a good witch and she needs more happy colors in her outfit. I though orange was a good color so here you have her.
Some of Jinju’s favorite things are pumpkin pie, being read to, especially if the book has something magical in it, the color orange, and frogs. Seriously, I have no idea why she likes frogs, but she does. I made her a frog dolly for that reason. At least it’s cuter than an actual frog.

As most of you know I have been playing with this new style ever since I made my first dol with this technique. I changed a couple of things with this doll that I definitely will be keeping from now on. I made her smaller feet and hands. I really think that is a win. I love her tiny feet so much. I also tried a smile this time and opened eyes. Making the eyes open was sort of a challenge, especially because I wanted this doll to have Asian eyes also and you know those are the hardest for me. It’s funny that my favorite shapes of eyes are the hardest for me to make. One day I’ll get them right.

Jinju is a 13 inch natural fibers art baby doll. She is fully soft sculpted and anatomically correct. Her skin is Heavy Weight Laib Yala in light brown. Her whole body is fully lined and mostly stuffed with glass beads that also serve as weighting material to give a more realistic feel. She only has wool on her toes, hands, belly and buttocks. That is why she is so floppy. Her head is floppy. Her arms have been hand sewn to her torso three times to make it extra strong. They are floppy as well. Her head is firmly needle felted and soft sculpted in the mouth and eyes. Jinju has a bald head. Her blushing has been made with colored pencils, and an orange/red bees wax crayon. It is not permanent and it can be refreshed with a crayon.
Jinju is not a toy. She’s an art doll intended for gentle play by an adult collector or an older child 10 and up. She likes to play and cuddle but you need to be gentle with her like you would be with a real newborn baby.

Jinju will go home with the clothes and most accessories you see in her photos. All items are handmade by me.

Jinju’s adoption fee is 645 USDollars plus shipping. Shipping inside Mexico is free with standard mail with tracking (It can be upgraded to Mexpost or private courier at the customer’s expense). Shipping outside Mexico can be either by priority shipping or a private courier. Shipping to the US through priority is 35 usdollars. Through a private courier is 75 USDollars. Only dolls that are sent through private courier can be insured in case the doll gets lost. Other parts of the world will need a revised shipping quote. Customs fees and taxes are the responsibility of the buyer.
If you wish to adopt Jinju make sure to fill out the form at the end of the post. If you are unsure that your entry went through, just send me a private message and I’ll confirm it to you.
Please only fill out the form if you are completely sure you want this doll and are able to pay for her in full at the moment.
I will take entries for Jinju until, Monday September 16, 2024 at 5pm CST (Mexico City Time). If more than one person is interested I will draw a name. Once a family has been chosen I will send a PayPal invoice that is due upon receipt. Because I know we all live in different time zones, the person that gets selected will have until Tuesday September 17, 2024 at 5am to pay for the invoice. If they fail to do so, I will draw a new name.
As always by filling out the form you agree you are 18 years or older and please do not fill out the form for someone else, that is just not fair for others.

Thank you so much for passing by to meet this good witch. I wish you luck if you are hoping to take her home.
Have a wonderful rest of the weekend.
Read you soon.
Hugs,
Aubrey
