Happy New Year to you all!!! I am so excited about all the new things I know this year has in store for us. I hope you are too. Now, I have a baby that was supposed to be the last baby of last year and it ended up being the first baby of this year.

Meet Alberto. He’s definitely one of the most waited babies I have made in a while. I have been getting lots of messages asking about him and when he will be ready. So here he is, finally. I want to apologize for taking my sweet time making him and his clothes but this year I prioritized the holidays and my time with family a little more. I also had a hard time deciding on his clothes but I am so happy I didn’t rush it because I absolutely love how he looks with his bee outfit. Don’t you agree he looks adorable?

Alberto is a sweet newborn baby that still spends most of his day sleeping and most of his nights crying. Don’t worry, this is just a phase, one of the hardest ones but it will pass I assure you. My advice to you is to sleep close to him or even better co-sleep with him. As long as he can feel you near him, he will cry way less. The few times Alberto is awake during the day, he likes to be taken outside and watch nature, especially bugs. He loves insects, ladybugs, wasps, and bees are his favorites. He actually wants to touch them and he already got stung a couple of times. The good thing is that we now know he is not allergic to bees. So that is a plus right?

When he is not getting stung by bees or sleeping, Alberto loves to be sang to and cuddle for days. He’s a very affectionate baby and he will literally melt in your arms when you hug him. He’s such a delight to hold. Other than that, he is a pretty easy baby to take care of still. Things might change when he gets a little older though, so just be aware of that.

Alberto is a 19 inch natural fibers art baby doll. He’s fully soft sculpted and anatomically correct. His skin is Heavy Weight Laib Yala in tanned peach. His limbs are fully lined and firmly stuffed with clean wool and glass beads. His torso is needle felted in two parts and weighted with glass beads as well. His head is floppy. His arms and legs have been hand sewn to his torso three times to make it extra strong. They are very floppy as well and bend at the elbows, shoulders, thighs, ankles, and knees. His head is firmly needle felted and soft sculpted in the mouth and nose. Alberto’s hair is a a hand crocheted brown wild brushable mohair wig cap. It has been hand sewn to his head. This type of hair can be gently brushed. His blushing has been made with colored pencils, chalk pastels, and an orange/red bees wax crayon. It is not permanent and it can be refreshed with a bees wax crayon. Alberto weights 1.95 Kilos (4.29 Pounds) He is the heaviest baby doll I have made so far. He also was made to have the dimensions of a newborn baby. I was able to achieve most of it except for the length of the torso and shoulders. They are a tad smaller but he fits in newborn clothes the same way a small newborn would fit.

Alberto is not a toy. He’s an art doll intended for gentle play by an adult collector or an older child 10 and up. He likes to play and cuddle but you need to be gentle with him like you would be with a real baby.

Alberto will go home with most of the clothes and accessories you see in his photos. All items are handmade by me.

Alberto’s adoption fee is 1,650 USDollars plus shipping. Shipping inside Mexico is free with standard mail with tracking (It can be upgraded to Mexpost or private courier at the customer’s expense). Shipping outside Mexico needs to be by a private courier and fully insured because he is a weighted doll. Shipping to the US is 75 USDollars. Other parts of the world will need a revised shipping quote. Customs fees and taxes are the responsibility of the buyer.

A short, 3 month/ 4 payment plan is available to purchase him. However, at least 1/4 of the doll’s price needs to be paid upfront from which a 50 dollars non refundable deposit will be taken. The doll and shipping cost need to be paid in full before the doll gets shipped.

Comments will not be visible to the public, only to me. If you are unsure that your comment went through, just send me a private message and I’ll confirm it to you.

Please only comment for him if you are completely sure you want him and are able to pay for him either in full or following the rules of the payment plan.

I will take entries for Alberto until, Thursday January 4, 2024 at 4pm CST. If more than one person is interested I will draw a name. Once a family has been chosen I will send a PayPal invoice that is due upon receipt. Because I know we all live in different time zones, the person that gets selected will have until Friday January 5, 2024 at 6am to pay for the invoice. If they fail to do so, I will draw a new name.

If Alberto does not find a home in the time stated above, he will be announced on Instagram and Facebook as ready for adoption.
