The sweetest Christmas Babies

Christmas is like Candy; it slowly melts in your mouth, sweetening every taste bud, making you wish it could last forever.

Candy, Yoshiro, and Jericho

How are you all doing? Are you all ready for Christmas? Only 19 days until Christmas. Wow! I still have so much to do. But that is a story for another day.

I was supposed to finish these babies in November, but as usual, life happens and most of the plans I make end up changing. I decided this time to do a little more with the clothes of these babies. I usually don’t make them so detailed because well, small is usually harder. However, I have to admit I love how they turned out even if they took me forever to finish. All the tiny details make everything even cuter. This is also the first time I make a collection with completely different outfits for each doll. The only thing they have in common is the gingerbread costume. Everything else I decided to make different. Now let me introduce you to the babies.

Candy, 7 inch natural fiber baby doll

This is Candy. The only girl in the bunch. As her name says she is as sweet as Candy. She sleeps a lot because she’s still pretty young and she needs her sleep to grow big and strong. She’s an easy baby to take care of because she’s mostly sleeping all day. Don’t worry, she’s not sick, it is normal, due to her age.

This will be Candy’s first Christmas and I hope she has a magical one. She loves seeing Christmas decorations. We usually go around the neighborhood to see what new displays the neighbors have come out with. She can’t get enough of them. I wonder if she dreams of Christmas trees, candy canes, and gingerbread cookies.

Candy is a 7 inch sleeping baby girl. Her skin is Laib Yala in red brown. Her sleeping eyes have been hand embroidered with DMC thread, and her pink hair is a hand crocheted wild brushable hair wig cap that has been hand sewn to her head. She has a firmly needle felted face with soft sculpted features. She’s fully soft sculpted and anatomically correct. Her blushing was made with a red beeswax crayon and is not permanent. She is a natural fibers doll, filled with clean wool. Her head, arms, and legs are floppy for better posing.

Jericho, 7 inch natural fiber baby doll

Second to be born is Jericho. This baby is kind of the intellectual. He’s already babbling and trying to talk. He loves looking at books, especially Christmas ones. Favorite activity of course is to be read to. He listens so carefully, I bet he’s trying to memorize the words already.

Jericho is a very well behaved kid. Just give him a book with colorful pictures and he will be entertained for a long time. This is also Jericho’s first Christmas and I hope he finds a home with lots of books to read and look at.

Yoshiro, 7 inch natural fiber baby doll

Last but not least is baby Yoshiro. As most of you know, Asian eyes are the hardest for me but I keep trying. This is the happiest baby of the bunch. He’s always in a good mood and will definitely put you in a good mood too. Just look at that smile. Doesn’t it melt your heart?

Yoshiro, is the energetic one. His favorite thing to do is dance and he will ask for music all day is possible. Right now we are in a Christmas music stage of course. So be prepared to listen to “Rockin’ around the Christmas tree” in a loop. He also likes to play dress up and right now, he is a Christmas gnome. At least he thinks he is. I’m hoping that his first Christmas is filled with magic, laughter, and lots of music.

These dolls have been made as sturdy as possible but their outfits includes buttons, snaps, and charms, and other pieces that can pose a choking hazard for little kids. That is why these dolls are for adults and children 5 years or older that do not mouth their toys and can be gentle with the dolls.

If you would like to see more photos of these babies you can do so in their album right here.
