Being different gives the world color.
-Nelsan Ellis

I finally got to make my first Halloween babies this year. Because last year my Frankenstein’s monster babies were so popular, I decided to make some this year too. I also love making them. Turning something that is supposed to be creepy into something cute is one of my favorite things about this season. This time I changed a couple of things. First you probably have noticed that these babies have no hair. I always have wanted to make bald wool babies, so this is my opportunity. So instead of the hair I went for stitches around the head where the seam is. I feel it gives a more Dr. Frankenstein’s feel to these babies. Another thing is that I made them anatomically correct so you can see which one is the boy and which one is the girl. I also can see how my needle felting skills have changed, kind of improved in this last year. I hope you think so too.

Now let me tell you a little about how I came upon these babies. Well, they were left outside my door, inside a plastic bag along with some dirty rags. I first thought it was trash but something told me to look inside. Good thing I did, because when I saw them, I already knew what was happening. I guess the crazy doctor has been trying to save babies again. It’s been a whole year since he did. I don’t know if it is the season or just maybe he hasn’t been successful again until now, maybe he has given the children back to their parents and these are just the rejected ones. Who knows? You see, this doctor made an experiment last year with a preemie baby that did not survive. He was able to bring the baby back to life and since it took him long to do so, the baby had already started to decompose, you could see it in the color of his skin. Once he brought the baby back to life the decomposing stopped but he remained a little green. The baby’s family did not take him back and the doctor did not know what to do with the baby. I heard about what happened and offered to take care of the baby and find him a loving home. I guess this doctor remembered that and decided to just leave these two here this time without even asking.
I am not sure if they are related or not. I didn’t even knew their names, so I named them Frances and Francesco. I made them some diapers and a crocheted companion for each. They seem to love their new toy. Even though these babies came back to life there are some things you have to do to keep them alive. You see those little screws on their heads? They are there so you can connect some cables and pass electricity to them. You are literally going to charge these babies like you do your phone. You should also note that they are premature so having them sleeping most of the day is completely normal and expected. They are literally the sweetests.

This is Francesco and if you are thinking of adopting him you should know that he is a quiet baby while sleeping but when he is fully charged, he will want to jump and climb on everything like a monkey. He has never ending energy so I advice you to only charge him when you are going to be giving him your full attention. He is not a mischievous boy, he is just very curious about everything.

Frances on the other hand is a very easy baby to take care of. When she’s awake she likes to look at things, she gets so mesmerized with things. She loves to watch ants walk in the garden, birds fly in the sky, but I must say that her favorite thing so far are ceiling fans. She can be hours watching them go. She’s also a very curious girl with just a little different energy than Francesco.

These babies are 7 inch natural fibers baby dolls. Their skin is organic cotton interlock hand dyed to a grayish green color, their limbs and torso are firmly filled with clean wool. Their head is floppy. Their legs and arms are floppy on the shoulders and thighs. Arms are sewn directly to the torso three times for extra strength. Legs and torso are one piece. Their heads are firmly needle felted, soft sculpted, and hand embroidered with cotton embroidery floss. Their head screws are made with gray wool felt and hand sewn to their head. They are fully soft sculpted, anatomically correct, and with some special details to resemble Frankenstein’s monster but in a much cuter version. Their blushing was made with a red beeswax crayon and it is not permanent. You will get a little piece of cloth with some blush so you can retouch it if necessary.
These babies are not toys. They are art dolls intended for gentle play by an adult collector or an older child 7 and up. They like to play and cuddle and even though they are made as sturdy as possible, you need to be gentle with them like you would be with a real baby.
Hand wash only.

These babies will go home with only their diaper and ghost lovie. I will be making them something cozy to wrap them in so they don’t get cold while traveling.
If you would like to see more photos of them you can see them in their album.

Each of these babies’ adoption fee is 275 USDollars plus shipping. Shipping inside Mexico is free through standard shipping, 30 USDollars to the US, Canada, and Puerto Rico via priority shipping. Other countries will need a revised quote.
If you would like to adopt one of my sweet little monsters please let me know by commenting on this post stating the name of the baby you would like to adopt: Francesco for the boy, Frances for the girl. If you like more than one make sure you write the names in the order of preference. Make sure the email you enter is your PayPal one. If there is more than one person interested, I will draw a name. I will take entries for this cuties until Monday September 4, 2021 at 6pm CST. Remember comments are only visible to me. Once a family has been chosen I will send a PayPal invoice that is due upon receipt.
Shipping days are now Mondays so the babies will be shipped the week after they are adopted in order to give me time to get them ready for travel.
By commenting you agree that you are 18 years or older. Please do not comment on behalf of someone else, that is just not fair for others.
In the event that these babies do not find homes in the time stated above, they will be announced on Instagram and Facebook as ready for adoption and listed in my shop.
Both babies have found loving homes.

If you are hoping to adopt one of this creepy cuties, I thank you and wish you luck. If you were just curious and wanted to meet them, I also thank you for the support.
Hope you are having a good weekend .
Stay safe.

Hugs,
Aubrey
