Unicorn boys!

Be a unicorn in a field of horses.

-Unknown

Unicorn boys are here! I am so excited about them. We usually associate unicorns with girls but let me tell you I have a little boy at home that loves unicorns just as much as he loves dinosaurs. He also likes to dress as a unicorn every now and then and since his sister has many unicorn headbands, they go around showing off their horns everywhere. This actually inspired me to make boy unicorns, the sweetest boy unicorns you have ever seen. Well, at least in my opinion.

These will be the last dolls until probably September. We are going on vacation to visit some family for the next three weeks. So if you like one of these, make sure you comment now, or else you will need to wait until I come back.

Ryder, 7 inch Natural fibers doll

Let me start by presenting to you baby Ryder. He’s a fun little one. He likes to laugh out loud and play rough. He loves being tickled and to tickle also, though he is not very good at it, but oh well, he’s still a baby. I guess it is expected. Ryder hardly ever cries, even when he hurts himself he just asks to be held and he starts smiling right away. He’s a little charmer, that is for sure. I must say he is a pretty good sleeper and he is a very picky eater. No veggie purees for him. Apart from having that magical blue hair, Ryder also has a little extra special something, he has a dark brown eye and a dark blue eye. They are both different colors though you may not notice right away due to the fact that they are both dark colors. You need to look closer to really see it, but once you notice you will always see it.

Ryder is a 7 inch baby boy. His skin is heavy weight Laib Yala in dark peach. His dark brown eye and his dark blue eye have been hand embroidered with DMC thread. His blue hair is hand crocheted mohair mix yarn wig cap that has been hand sewn to his head. He has a firmly needle felted face with soft sculpted features. He’s fully soft sculpted and anatomically correct. His blushing was made with an orange/red beeswax crayon and is not permanent. He is a natural fibers doll, filled with clean wool. His head, arms, and legs are floppy for better posing.

Now we have our little curious baby Luca. He’s always excited about everything, though he sometimes seems confused. He’s always eager to do things and go places. He actually has no stranger anxiety yet, so he lets anyone hold him and is fascinated by people’s faces. He really is a kid full of wonder that just wants and needs to take everything in. Luca is very sweet and easy to take care of. He gets entertained very easily and he is the best sleeper. He sleeps through the night and seems to always have happy dreams because he’s always smiling while sleeping. With Luca I made something a little different than usual. I gave hin knotted hair. It means the hair is made out of knots of yarn. It really looks cute especially on a boy as sweet as him.

Marvin, 7 inch Natural fibers doll

Luca is a 7 inch baby boy. His skin is heavy weight Laib Yala in dark brown. His black eyes have been hand embroidered with DMC thread, and his black hair is cotton yarn knotted and hand sewn to his head. He has a firmly needle felted face with soft sculpted features. He’s fully soft sculpted and anatomically correct. His blushing was made with a red beeswax crayon and is not permanent. He is a natural fibers doll, filled with clean wool. His head, arms, and legs are floppy for better posing.

Finally we have baby Marvin, our sensitive boy. Marvin is one of those very emotional babies. He needs a little bit more love than normal. I will say it is not as hard as most of you think. When you see that pouty face, all you want to do is hug him and so that works wonders with him. Marvin does cry easily but he also recovers very quick if he is comforted. He’s a co-sleeper and as long as he is sleeping next to his caregiver he will not bother you all night. Marvin has a special kind of hair I haven’t made in a while; embroidered hair. I still have this wool blend thin yarn that I love and makes for the perfect hair color. I chose it to make his hair and I think it suits him perfect.

Each one of these boys will go home with the following clothes and accessories:

These dolls have been made as sturdy as possible but their outfits includes buttons, snaps, and charms, and other pieces that can pose a choking hazard for little kids. That is why these dolls are for adults and children 5 years or older that do not mouth their toys and can be gentle with the dolls.
