I hope you are all well and staying cool and hydrated. Here has been melting hot the last coupe of weeks. However, there are some storms coming apparently. Hopefully they will be the not too dangerous kind, fingers crossed.

Here is the third woodland baby I created this month. I must say I enjoyed making this collection. Focusing on a theme throughout the month helped me kind of focus. Even though the dolls had similar outfit designs, they all had specific details that made the outfits unique. I also tried to make the dolls as different from each other as possible with their own unique personalities and features.

So let me properly introduce Wolfe. Wolfe is a sleepy baby boy. Saying he loves to nap is an understatement. He takes a snooze anywhere he can get warm and cozy. However, don’t be fooled by that sleepy, tired face, he is a terrible sleeper at night. I know this is a phase but still. Also when Wolfe is awake he is a like a little hurricane. He will want to play non stop and it needs to be rough play for him to be entertained. So playing with cars or dolls won’t do. You have to toss him around and wrestle with with him. The good thing is he usually has long naps after play. I’m just letting you know so you can prepare for it if you are thinking about adopting him.

Some of Wolfe’s favorite things are wolves, of course, sleeping, especially under the trees, the sound of the wind moving the branches, the color green, and sweet strawberries. He loves to be cuddled, danced with, and sang to.

Wolfe is a 12 inch natural fibers art baby doll. He’s fully soft sculpted and anatomically correct. His skin is Heavy weight Laib Yala in pinkish fair, I rarely make dolls with this skin tone. I only had this fabric because it was left over from a custom doll. I do think it suits him well. His limbs are fully lined and firmly filled with clean wool and glass beads. His torso is needle felted in two parts and weighted with glass beads. His head is a little floppy and can be moved around. His arms and legs have been hand sewn to his torso three times to make it extra strong. They are very floppy and bend at the elbows, knees, ankles, and thighs. His head is firmly needle felted and soft sculpted in the mouth and nose. Wolfe’s hair is a hand crocheted light brown mohair mix yarn wig cap. It has been hand sewn to his head. His blushing has been made with a red/orange beeswax crayon.

Wolfe is not a toy. He’s an art doll intended for gentle play by an adult collector or an older child 10 and up. I made him to be pretty sturdy though, and he loves to be cuddled and held but just like you would be gentle with a real baby, you need to be gentle with him.

Wolfe will go home with most of the clothes and accessories you see in his photos. All items are handmade by me.

Wolfe’s adoption fee is 700 USDollars plus shipping. Shipping inside Mexico is free through Standard mail with tracking. Shipping outside Mexico needs to be by a private courier and fully insured because he is a weighted doll. Shipping to the US is 60 USDollars. Other parts of the world will need a revised shipping quote. Customs fees and taxes are the responsibility of the buyer.

A short, 2 payments plan in one month is available to purchase him. However at least 1/2 of the doll’s price needs to be paid upfront, from which 50 Dollars will be taken as a non refundable deposit. Just contact me privately if you are interested in this option.

I will take entries for Wolfe until Saturday July 1, 2023 at 12noon CST. If more than one person is interested I will draw a name. Once a family has been chosen I will send a PayPal invoice that is due upon receipt.
